Unlimited classes are available for a flat rate for students taking 8 hours or more. Tuition is charged for 10-weeks of classes.

Our intensives are designed for dance students wishing to progress rapidly over the summer. Students attend daily classes in Ballet technique, supplemented by strength and flexibility training. Prima Dance Arizona is committed to developing well-rounded dancers: Our Summer Technique Intensives include classes such as Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Improvisation, and Contemporary. Pointe technique is offered within the advanced level.

Our Dance Fundamentals classes provide a smooth transition between the creative movement structure we use for our younger classes and the technical structure of our leveled classes. Geared toward Kindergarten and 1st-grade students, Dance Fundaments introduces the technical aspects of ballet, tap, and jazz that mirror the classwork of our Level 1 program while maintaining a fun and playful atmosphere. Partnering and group activities are implemented, acro basics are introduced, and musical games become more structured. Students gain a rich sense of accomplishment while continuing to have fun! Students wear a leotard, pink tights, and the appropriate dance shoes. A skirt or tutu may be worn on the last class day of each month.

Primary Combo reinforces the skills learned in their first Combo class and builds upon basic steps and routines. Students become less dependent on dancing with the teacher and begin to learn exercises which they can execute independently. Creative movement is encouraged through the use of props and musical games. This class is also an appropriate beginning for 5 year-olds with no prior dance experience. Primary students must wear pink tights, a leotard of any color, ballet slippers, and tap shoes. Skirts and tutus may also be worn.

Our combo classes teach basic ballet and tap skills along with flexibility and musicality. This 55-minute class is highly structured and encourages listening skills and self-awareness in a fun and positive atmosphere. Stories, games, and songs are intermixed with introductory dance steps and acro fundamentals. Students must be 3 years old and potty-trained to enroll. Students must wear pink tights, a leotard of any color, ballet slippers, and tap shoes. Skirts and tutus may also be worn.

Our Creative Movement program allows little ones their first taste of independent “dance”. Our 30-minute class explores creative movement with extensive use of props, songs, and games. Children learn active listening skills and become accustomed to working with others through musical activities. Fun dancewear and tutus are highly encouraged!

Prima Dance Arizona is proud of our strong ballet foundation. Ballet classes are offered for every age and level from beginning to pre-professional. Technique classes are based on Royal Academy and Cecchetti syllabi; choreography introduces Vaganova technique, the Balanchine method, Bournonville, and others. Training begins early for students interested in dancing en pointe so that their strength and alignment are well-supported when they are old enough for pointe shoes. Ballet is required for PDAZ dancers enrolling in Lyrical, Contemporary, and upper-level Jazz classes.

Improve Acro skills, strengthen your muscles, and become more flexible! PDAZ is committed to safely developing strong, flexible artists and proudly offers instruction following the Acrobatic Arts syllabus supplemented by the Alixa Flexibility Technique. Experienced acrobats entering Acro Camp for the first time need to be seen for placement prior to or on the first day of class.
