All Star Dance Team

The All Star Dance Team is a competitive dance team for girls and boys ages 5 to 18. This program is for athletes that want to take their skills to the next level. Athletes are selected through an audition process and extensively train in pom and technique. Athletes will grow technically each year with their participation in a family environment. The All Star Dance Team participates in a couple of exhibition performances and multiple competitive dance competitions.

All Star Cheer Team

The All Star Cheer Team is a competitive cheer group for girls and boys ages 5 to 18. This program is for athletes that want to take their skills to the next level. Athletes are selected through an audition process and extensively train in tumbling and cheer. Athletes will grow technically each year with their participation in a family environment. The All Star Cheer Team participates in a couple of exhibition performances and multiple competitive cheer competitions.

Performance Team

The C2D Performance team is a performance group for boys and girls ages 6-19. This talented group of dancers represent C2D out in the community. Their performances are all located in Crawford and Sebastian county and include festivals, parades, pageants, nursing homes, and so much more. This group of dancers is the face of Chance 2 Dance out in the communities that give so much to us!

Non-Travel Competitive Team

The C2D Non-Travel Competition Team is a competition group for boys and girls ages 3 to 19. This team is specifically designed for dancers who desire an overall stronger commitment to dance outside of a recreational program. This is a competition team for dancers at the beginning and intermediate level. The Non-Travel Competitive Team competes locally three times per season with no travel and no national competitions.

Travel Competitive Team

The C2D Travel Competitive Team is a competition group for girls and boys ages 6 to 19. This program is for students that show an exceptional dedication and talent for dance. These dancers are selected through an audition process and extensively train in all areas of dance. Competitive dancers will grow both technically and stylistically each year with their participation. The C2D Competitive Team performs at various competitions and conventions, including a national dance competition.

Chance 2 Dance Special Needs Class

This program is a great way for children with special needs to get involved in an extracurricular activity while improving motor skills, confidence, and socialization. The “Chance 2 Dance” class is a 30-40 minute class where students learn the basics of movement, rhythm, and the fundamentals of ballet (such as the five feet positions), as well as reinforcing and practicing basic academic skills (letters, numbers, shapes, etc.). Stretching, dancing with props, enjoying music and expressing emotion will be a part of every class.

Twinkle Star Dance Program

Victoria Archer began her dance training at age four with Western Arkansas Ballet’s Academy. She joined Western Arkansas Ballet’s pre-professional company in 2010, and has performed notable roles including Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty, as well as Clara, Mirliton, and Lead Arabian in The Nutcracker.

She has a background in jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, and more. Scarlett’s dance history extends beyond the classroom. She has danced on the Chance 2 Dance competition team since 2017, and has also been a member of the Alma Freshman and Varsity dance teams.

Scarlett is excited to share her love for dance and leadership skills with Chance 2 Dance as the All Star dance team coach and with her pom, acro, and tumbling classes in Greenwood and Van Buren!

She has experience in ballet, tap , jazz, and hip hop. She is in her 6th year on the Greenwood Dance Team where she is a four-time UDA All American, and helped her team as they earned a state-runner up title in 2023 , more recently helped her team earn a state championship title in 2024.

With 12 years of experience in various dance styles, she has a strong foundation in jazz, lyrical, ballet, tumbling, acro, hip hop, and contemporary, along with over seven years of teaching experience. Makenzie has not only honed her skills as a dancer but also as a creative choreographer.

Maddi Couch began dancing at Chance 2 Dance in 2015, at the age of 8. She joined their competitive team the following year, which she continues to be a part of. She has experience in jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, pom, and hip hop.

Over the years, she developed a love for all styles of dance, with a special passion for tap, clogging, hip hop, and musical theatre. Elie began assisting classes at just 13 years old and started teaching her own students at 16.

Carrie Owenby began dancing at the age of five at Dance Unlimited in Van Buren, AR. She studied ballet, tap, acro, and jazz. Carrie also danced competitively as a member of Dance Est Joie with the Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio.

Callie teaches acro and is on the C2D competition team coaching staff. She loves helping dancers grow in both skill and confidence. Dance has always been one of the most meaningful parts of her life.

She was a member of the competitive dance team for nine years, gaining experience in jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, pom, kick, and hip hop. Callie graduated from Van Buren High School, where she served as captain of the dance team her senior year.

She took over 1-3 grade ballet/jazz early in the season last year where she found a love and passion for teaching. She is excited to expand her teaching role this year. As she continues to grow as an instructor she hopes to help her students grow not only as dancers but people too.

Bre Yancey started dancing at the age of two. She took lessons in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and more at the Greenwood dance studio. Now in her 5th year on the Greenwood dance team, she is a two time UDA All American and helped her team as they earned their state championship for the 2024 season.

Allyson has been teaching at C2D since the Alma location opened in 2023. She teaches several recreational classes and is a coach of the competition teams. Her favorite part of being an instructor is helping students grow and see them accomplish skills they have worked so hard on.

Addison is now teaching tumbling at Chance 2 Dance Van Buren and loves every minute of it!

Last year, Abby began teaching 1-3 ballet/tap. She learned so much from her first year of teaching and hopes she can continue to have an impact on her students’ lives, just as they have to hers. Ms. Abby is so excited to continue teaching this year at the Greenwood location!

Dancers are introduced to a variety of dance and movement concepts, vocabulary, and proper technique. Each recreational class emphasizes a fun, up-beat environment with age appropriate music. All of our recreational classes perform in our annual spring recital.
