Welcome to Miss Julie's Salsa at Six and Bachata, your vibrant Latin dance destination in Arcata, California. Led by the passionate and experienced Julie Hayes, a TK-12 California Credentialed teacher with 14 years of experience in local schools and 18 years teaching dance in the community, our studio is dedicated to bringing the joy and rhythm of Salsa and Bachata to the Humboldt community. Miss Hayes and her talented team offer dedicated Salsa and Bachata lessons for all levels in a fun, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere. We specialize in Latin dance, ballet, and jazz, drawing inspiration from a wide array of Latin styles including salsa, bachata, merengue, tango, samba, cumbia, latin jazz, and zouk. Our offerings extend to younger dancers with a "Latin dance for kids" program designed for boys and girls ages 5-12. This dynamic class incorporates solo and partner dance techniques with limited class sizes tailored to age and skill, providing an ideal introduction to Latin dance. Throughout the summer, we host vibrant kids' camps for ages 7-12, offering a safe and fun exploration of global dances, directing them to build confidence and explore new movement. Scholarships are available to make dance more accessible. Classes are held at Redwood Raks Dance Studio, providing a fantastic space for learning.
