Founded in June 2010 by Cheryl Armour Frye, a seasoned arts professional with over 35 years of experience, The Origin has become a cornerstone for cultural, social, creative, and educational development through the art of dance. Initially rooted in Hip Hop, the academy has expanded its curriculum to offer a diverse range of styles, including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theater, Acrobatics, Breakdance, and K-Pop, catering to youth, teens, and adults. Our experienced and accomplished faculty includes Cheryl Armour Frye, Darius Frye (Dario B Freeze), Destiny Frye, Giovanni Rodriguez, Melissa Ramos, Jaden Aventurado, Monet Bland, Jason Daniels, Anastasia Sachs, Logan Trio, Carlito Peralta, Lily Vasquez, Aceline Lapitan, and Angelique Vargas. The Origin is renowned for its competitive teams, such as The Origin OC3, OCUnlimited, OrigiNation, and Hip Hop Dreamz Company, which have achieved national and international recognition at prestigious events like Hip Hop International and World of Dance.
