Performers in Jazz Level 4 and above are not required to wear tights.
JAZZ BEGINNER-LEVEL 3, “Teen/Tween Jazz & Contemporary” MON. (Alyssa) & TH. (Abbie)
Female dancers in these Jazz classes need a flesh-tone adapt-a-toe/transitional tight, or a non-transitional/footed tight if jazz is their only dance. Jazz tights go over the foot and inside the jazz shoe.
JAZZ
Male jazz performers need black jazz shoes and black socks, without tights. Female performers require flesh-tone adapt-a-toe/transitional tights for Beginner-Level 3.
HIP-HOP
For Hip-Hop classes, both male and female costumes require clean-soled athletic shoes and no-show or low-height socks that match the shoe or costume.
Contemporary or Lyrical TIGHTS Levels 4+
Performers in Contemporary or Lyrical levels 4 and above are not required to wear tights and will be barefoot.

Tap Team
The Tap Team (Multiple Levels) requires 1-2 tap classes per week, 1 weekly tap team class, and 1 ballet or jazz class per week. Competitions include 1 routine at competitions & conventions.
Ballet Team
The Ballet Team (Multiple Levels) requires 2-3 ballet classes per week depending on team level, 1 additional class (pointe or contemporary), and 1 weekly team ballet class. All ballet teams will compete at Youth America Grand Prix.
Youth/Teen/Senior Level (Jazz, Contemporary, Open, Specialty, or Lyrical)

Musical Theater Performance
Our Musical Theater Performance studies acting, vocal, dance, and performance skills (levels preschool-GR.12). Classes (K-12) will perform around the peninsula throughout the season (frequency based on age). Our GR. 6-12 are musical theater companies (GR. 6th-7th, 8th-9th, and 9th-12th). They will prepare different medley numbers to perform in places such as county fairs, Monterey Wharf, Del Monte Shopping Center, local tree lightings, assisted living, and more! This program has a Winter and a Spring showcase (K-12).

Intermediate Ballet AP Program
This classical ballet program prepares motivated, serious students in a structured pre-professional training program. The Intermediate AP faculty for 2023-24 are Isaiah Bindel, Kiera Hansen , and co-owner Tia Brown. Our Intermediate AP program requires students to enroll in 3X a weekly ballet technique class block comprised of other AP students. These AP classes are intended as a preparatory foundation and are supplemented by additional ballet and/or pointe classes. Our Intermediate AP students may have aspirations to join a professional ballet company or obtain collegiate entry into strong university dance programs.

This class is part of the BEGINNING/TWEEN/LEVEL 1 SHOW and is held on Mondays. It is a prerequisite for participation in this specific recital performance.
Beginning through level 6 performers
Dress rehearsal for all beginning through level 6 performers on Saturday at Sunset Center. Arrive well ahead of time, have costumes organized, and be ready to perform in your first costume with hair complete and tights/shoes on. Make-up is not required for dress rehearsal but is welcome.

Ballet Levels ½ and up
Auditions for Ballet Levels ½ and up will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. These auditions are for dancers interested in being considered for the upcoming season.
Ballet Teams (including AP Ballet)
Audition times for Ballet Teams Levels 1/2-3 (including AP Ballet) are from 6:30-7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 8. Audition times for Levels 3/4-6 are from 7:00-7:30 pm on the same day.

This advanced musical theater skills Tap class requires transitional flesh-tone tights with black tap shoes.

Beginner Tap class on Wednesdays requires black tights for females and black socks for males, along with black tap shoes.
Tap Audition
The Tap Audition for Levels 2 and up will be held on Wednesday, April 9, from 6:00-7:00 pm. This audition is for dancers interested in the tap competition team.

Jazz/Contemporary Intensive
The Jazz/Contemporary Intensive is a required summer program for all accepted team dancers, scheduled from July 28 - August 1, 2025. Dancers must attend or make up missed hours.

Audition times for Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theater, and Tap are scheduled for Friday, April 11. Group 1: 4:00-4:45 pm, Group 2: 5:00-5:45 pm, Groups 3 & 4: 6:00-6:45 pm, Groups 5 & 6: 6:45-7:30 pm.

Aco, Hip-Hop, Ballet Camp
This class requires no shoes and is barefoot. If wearing the female costume, wear no tights and capri pants. If wearing the male costume, wear no tights. This is one of the preschool classes that will perform on May 31st on our Mission & 8th in-house theater.
