Our expert instructors will guide and support each dancer on their individual journey, fostering technical skill, artistic expression, and a lifelong passion for dance.

Live The Dream Dance Program

Live The Dream is an innovative student-centered dance program created by Master Teachers and OTE Dance Studio Owners Robert Gilliam and Kim Borgaro, in partnership with The Artist Creative. This unique program provides high-quality dance training while nurturing dancers to reach their fullest potential as young, creative forces in the world of dance.

PRE-School DANCE Program

Introduce your little one to the magic of dance with OTE's "Do U Dance" Preschool Program. Our program is specifically designed to introduce basic dance movements and principles to our youngest students, while also supporting early childhood development. Our curriculum combines engaging dance techniques with activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and imagination. Through music and movement, we help our preschool dancers develop their fine motor skills, coordination, and confidence. But most importantly, we make sure they have FUN! Our experienced instructors create a nurturing and playful environment where every child feels special and encouraged to express themselves through dance. Join us on this joyful journey into the world of dance. We can't wait to see your little dancer twirl, leap, and shine!

Acro class is recommended but not required for participation in the dance performance company for dancers ages 8-12.

THE COMPANY

THE COMPANY (ages 12-18) DANCER REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 8.5 hours per week Company Class/Rehearsal on Sunday 10AM-1PM (3 hours) Company Class on Wednesday 7:00-8:30PM (1.5 Hours) Thursday 6:00-7:00PM Jazz Thursday 7:00-8:00PM Contemporary 1 Ballet Class (Tuesday or Thursday) Pointe for approved dancers ( Dancers enrolled in the Sunday Pointe class will need to be enrolled in and regular attend at least 2 ballet classes during the week). Additional classes are recommended but not required. Additional rehearsals will be added before each concert.

MUSICAL THEATER

Our Musical Theater program gives students the opportunity to shine on stage while exploring all aspects of performance. One class focuses on vocal technique, acting, and expressive movement—helping students develop confidence, stage presence, and storytelling skills. The other spotlights the choreography of popular musicals, where dancers learn signature routines and styles inspired by Broadway hits. Together, these classes bring the magic of musical theater to life!

LEAPS & TURNS

This class will focus on developing the skills necessary to perform a variety of turns and leaps i.e. pirouettes, a la seconde turns, fouette turns, coupe turns, pencil turns, attitude turns, leg hold turns, second jumps, switch leaps, switch second leaps, backwards jetes, surprise jumps, etc. Enrollment in Jazz or Ballet is highly encouraged.

K-POP

K-Pop is a dance phenomenon that has swept the entire world—and continues to dominate. K-Pop blends hip hop grooves, jazz funk, and house. In our K-Pop class you'll learn the hottest K-Pop dances from a professional instructor and create your own music video as you do the dance routines of your favorite Korean artists!

ACRO4DANCE

Acro incorporates a lot of strength training so that students can continue to build the muscles that will help them master more advanced tricks and tumbling. Each student will receive one on one spotting and instruction as they go across the mat so that they can build confidence in their body’s ability. Acro4Dance fuses dance technique with acrobatic motion and the tricks taught in this class can be incorporated into dance performances.

HIP-HOP

Jazz is a fun and energetic class that all dance genres are continually influencing has roots in Ballet, Modern, Acrobatics, African rhythms, Caribbean, etc. Jazz is upbeat, focused on strong and dynamic movements. Dancers will work to find balance by using their central core and practice coordination techniques and isolations. This class will include stretches to increase flexibility and understand turn out. The class will consist of progressions across the floor, including transitions, footwork, turns, extensions, jumps, leaps, floor work with innovative choreography focusing on rhythm and stylization.

POINTE/PRE POINTE

Muscle memory and repetition are essential to light, ethereal pointe work. Pointe/Pre Pointe is a class that stresses precision and strength while emphasizing the beauty of a traditional art form. It is dancing on pointe that should be considered a privilege, the reward for hard work in ballet technique, and the instructor will determine participation. Throughout the year, students will work on strengthening ankle and feet muscles, increasing their awareness throughout their bodies, and establishing correct alignment for pointework. Note that dancers in this class are required to be enrolled in one other ballet classes, though more hours are encouraged.

BALLET

Ballet is a beautiful art form that has been amazing audiences for centuries. It is a disciplined form of dance that strives for perfection while exuding elegance, grace, and control. Dancers will work to improve posture and flexibility, and will concentrate on learning ballet positions, pointing their feet, strengthening ankles, understanding and increasing turn out, using their plie’, learning to stretch fully through their extensions will keeping their joints supported, etc.

LYRICAL

Lyrical is a fusion of Ballet and Jazz, with expressive motions that tell a story. Students will learn dance technique along with how to express emotion through movement. Whether inspired by a song, a feeling, a vision, or just a wild hair, each combination will be unique and allow for much individual artistic freedom. Dancers will focus on building technique, alignment & conditioning, stretch & strengthening, contractions & release, and choreography that emphasizes musicality and self-expression.

JAZZ

Jazz is a fun and energetic class that is used highly in commercial industries for its entertainment value. Jazz dance has roots in Ballet, Modern, Acrobatics, African Rhythm, Caribbean, etc. and is continually being influenced by all dance genres. Jazz is upbeat and tends to be more grounded with various strong movements and dynamic. Dancers will work to find balance by using their central core and practice coordination techniques and isolations. This class will be followed by stretches to increase flexibility and understand turn out. Next will be progressions across the floor learning transitions, footwork, turns, extensions, jumps, leaps, floor work with innovative choreography focusing on rhythm and stylization.

CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet, hip hop, salsa, theatrics, modern, pedestrian movement-- you name it. The fun of this class is blending various dance styles while working to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Dancers will work on the development of their dance technique, build strength and flexibility while also focusing on musicality, dynamics, stylization, and emotional expression. This class will include a warm-up, center technique, across the floor exercises, turns & leaps, and a dance combination.
