Adults are welcome to take any of our teen classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballroom and/or Aerial. Also feel free to inquire about any other current movement classes offered. Check out our classes monthly as many different programs come through our school. View the classes below.

Aerial

Learn a new art and have fun while getting strong! In these classes you will learn basic moves on tissu and hammock. Master aerial skills and terminology that you can use to further explore new movement in the air. Beginner preteens, teens and adults are welcome!

Ballroom & Wedding Prep

We can help you prepare you or your wedding party for your wedding. Whether you want a classical or fun routine we are here to help! Keeping your taste and personality in mind, we will prepare you for the spotlight. Dancing is not just for special occasions. It’s fun, social, and burns calories! Tap

Tap is a great way to exercise the body as well as the mind! It challenges students to integrate rhythmic patterns using their feet as the instrument. Tap focuses on beat, timing, rhythm, and coordination. As Tap students grow and improve they will learn increasingly advanced techniques and intricate combinations. Being enrolled in a Ballet or Jazz class weekly is strongly recommended while training in Tap.

Jazz

minimum age by Sept. of current school year Jazz is an energetic class that focuses on core strength, flexibility, and technique. It’s ballet based so it has a lot of the same fundamentals, but jazz is high energy and fast past paced. Jazz students will work on turns, leaps and learn a number of routines ranging from pop music to show tunes. Jazz Beg. is recommended for brand new students. Progress in Jazz varies greatly depending on concurrent Ballet training. Jumps & Turns is required with another Jazz weekly. Jazz company enrollment is in late spring for the following school year during preregistration. Being enrolled in Ballet classes weekly is strongly recommended while training in Jazz.

Hip Hop

This is a high energy, upbeat dance class that focuses on coordination, confidence, & rhythm. Dancers will learn how to count music and will memorize exciting choreography to age appropriate popular music. Hip Hop Beg. is recommended for brand new students. Hip Hop Int. is usually a student’s second or third year in a Hip Hop class. All other classes will need a teacher recommendation. Hip Hop company enrollment is in late spring for the following school year during preregistration. Being enrolled in a Jazz class weekly is strongly recommended while training in Hip Hop.

Ballet

Ballet is the fundamental dance technique as it develops grace, flexibility, strength, and balance. We recommend taking twice a week for future pointe work or weekly to support other styles like jazz, tap, or hip hop. Ballet students are required to wear appropriate attire (black leotard, pink tights with an optional skirt of any color, and hair in a clean bun). Ballet Beg. is recommended for brand new students. Ballet Int. A is usually a students second or third year in a full hour ballet class. All other Ballet classes need teacher recommendations. Ballet company enrollment is in late spring for the following school year during preregistration. Ballet is strongly recommended to be taken twice weekly.

Hip Hop Jr. (4 ½ yrs.- 6 ½ yrs)

This is a high energy and upbeat dance class in which students focus on coordination, confidence, and rhythm through fun and exciting exercises. Your child will learn to count music, memorize dance steps and will learn fun choreography to age appropriate, popular music. Join this class to learn the latest dance moves! Limited to 7 students.

Ballet / Tap (5-7 yrs.)

This 45 minute class is split between Ballet and Tap, with dancers also beginning to learn exercises at the barre! Through creative and fun exercises, these young dancers will be able to memorize foundational Ballet and Tap moves and sequences, as well as learn basic dance vocabulary that will prepare them for the classes taken in years to come. Limited to 8 students.

Ballet / Tap (4 yrs.- 5 ½ yrs.)

This 45 minute class is split up between Ballet and Tap. Through creative and fun exercises, these young dancers will be able to memorize foundational Ballet and Tap moves and sequences, as well as learn basic dance vocabulary that will prepare them for the classes taken in years to come. Limited to 7 students per class.

Ballet / Tap

This 30 minute class is for the little dancer that is ready to follow along in a group, without mommy in class! It’s fun for them to learn, and even more fun for you to watch as these little ones discover dance for themselves! This is a great way to let your child explore their creative side and develop confidence while building a love for movement and music that will last a lifetime. These are Ballet based classes along with the rhythm found in some fun Tap steps to finish it off. The teacher guides these young students to discover the art of balancing and listening in a fun rewarding environment. Limited to 5 students.

Ballet / Tap Parent & Me

You will love our playful “Mommy & Me” early childhood classes. This 30 minute class is geared toward the little one that wants to dance with mommy, daddy or sitter in class. Our toddler classes build your child’s body awareness, motor skills, coordination, socialization and listening skills. These are Ballet based classes with an introduction to Jazz and Tap as well. The teacher guides these young students to discover the art of balancing and listening in a fun rewarding environment. “Mommies”, please wear comfortable shoes and get ready to move with your little dancer! Limited to 5 students.
