Kyne Dance Academy (KDA), established in 1976 and nestled in beautiful Laguna Beach, California, offers a comprehensive dance education for students of all ages and skill levels. Directed by the accomplished mother-daughter duo, Pauline and Lisa Kyne, KDA fosters a nurturing yet structured environment. The academy boasts a rich curriculum encompassing core disciplines such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and Lyrical, alongside the dynamic world of Musical Theater. Instructors like Karen Garman, Sabrina Harper, Ruth Okey, Karen Panasewicz, Emma Sarkissian, and Patty Tacklind bring a wealth of experience and diverse training. KDA's commitment extends beyond technical training, aiming to enhance physical awareness, focus, self-discipline, grace, poise, and confidence in every student. Program offerings cater to various age groups, including dedicated combo classes for younger dancers like "Ballet/Tap Combo & Theatre Dance" (ages 3.5-6) and "Ballet, Tap, & Jazz Combo" (ages 5-6). Older students (grades 1-7) can join "Dance Mix Combo," a dynamic class blending Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop. Adults aged 16 and above can participate in specialized "Adult Tap," "Adult Ballet," and "Adult Jazz II" classes. While individual classes for Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop are not offered individually at this time, these styles are integral components of the "DANCEMIX" classes. Private lessons are also available for ages 6-13. KDA provides quality dance training within state-of-the-art studios, serving children, teens, and adults and encourages engagement through a newsletter for updates on classes and events.
