A series of specialty classes led by a curated roster of global teaching artists and master instructors including Michelle Dorrance, Charles Renato, Joseph Wiggan, Phil Wright, Sync Ladies and more.

Each September we welcome dancers from across Southern California and beyond to our Hot Chocolate Nutcracker general, open auditions for boys and girls starting at 6 years and up through 19. To secure a spot, dancers should pre-register to audition based on age.

DADA Ensemble is the Academy’s pre-professional dance company, comprised of current students, alumni, and guest artists. This performance group represents DADA at various special events. Some past performance highlights include the Governor's Ball at the Academy Awards, Herbie Hancock at the Hollywood Bowl, and The Grammy Awards.

Other technique studies include African, Dunham, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and Latin Fusion as part of the Red Bird Program curriculum.

A scholarship program for young male dancers, 8 years and up. Dancers study Ballet, Contemporary, Dunham, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Jazz, African, Latin Fusion, Modern, and Tap.

A comprehensive dance curriculum for the committed student. Dancers study Ballet, Contemporary, Dunham, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Jazz, African, Latin Fusion, Modern, and Tap.

Students also study African, Dunham, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap and are trained by Academy teachers.

The Pre-Academy curriculum focuses on developing students who want to build their skill level as well as those who may not be able to commit to the more demanding Academy training schedule. The emphasis of this program is on Classical Ballet and Modern.

Advanced classical dancers ages 13+ with proficient pointe technique (minimum 3 years) may attend a special open audition in August for our Fairyland Ballet. Dancers can pre-register for the audition to secure their spot.

Hand selected by Ms. Allen, the Conservatory Program allows the dedicated student to increase their focus on technique and artistry through a rigorous curriculum centered on Classical Ballet and Modern Dance. Other technique studies include African, Dunham, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Flamenco, and Latin Fusion. Students who wish to be considered for entry into the highly selective Conservatory Program may attend open auditions on August 24, 2025 or request an audition via inquiry.

Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, African and Flamenco dance techniques are explored through the course of the school year. No previous dance experience is required.

Dada On Pointe is a 3-day intensive where beginner to advanced students ages 9-18, with at least two years of classical ballet training, are invited to study with ballet masters from the U.S. and abroad. Must have a solid understanding of ballet terminology. Class curriculum includes technique, pointe (at the discretion of the artistic faculty), variations, modern, conditioning, repertoire, plus a culminating talk back.

Our flagship Los Angeles summer intensive offers a comprehensive curriculum rooted in techniques of Ballet and Modern with additional classes in Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, African, Dunham, Tap, and Musical Theater. Dancers ages 8 and up are invited to audition. Instruction is led by DADA's expert faculty plus an elite roster of guest artists.

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy Early Bird Summer Camp provides an exciting adventure into the world of dance for children ages 4 to 8. Students are placed in their summer camp class based on their age and skill level. Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and African dance techniques are explored through fundamentals, musical exercises, team work and play. Children make new friends while learning in a safe, fun-filled environment. The 2-week camp culminates with a performance showcase.
