Classes

Pointe 1 and higher

Recital Performance-Based Class.

Pre-Pointe

This is a non-performance technique-based class that prepares the student for Pointe 1 and higher.

Pointe

All Pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet techniques while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. These exercises work on strengthening the feet and ankles.

Ballet

Our ballet classes follow an 8-level curriculum, from pre-ballet to pre-professional, rooted in the classical ballet method. As part of our youth classical ballet training, all classes include barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. Our progressive and educational approach ensures a fun and positive experience for ballet students of all ages.

Summer Ballet Intensive 2025

A three-day program dedicated entirely to ballet. This immersive experience brings in esteemed guest teachers alongside our regular faculty, offering dancers the opportunity to refine their technique, artistry, and performance skills. Designed for serious ballet students, the intensive provides focused training in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Performance Classes

The rest of our classes perform in our bi-annual Nutcracker and our annual spring recital. Our performances are professional and organized and teach the dancers the real expectations of the performance reality of a dancer.

Technique Classes

Our technique classes are focused on technique and do not perform in any shows. The class time is spent working on all those important details that make all the difference.

Students will explore ballet fundamentals, beginning terminology, jumps, sequences, and more! Along with ballet they will be introduced to basic tumbling. They will learn simple acrobatic skills, along with building strength and flexability. Participates in Recital

Students will explore ballet fundamentals, beginning terminology, jumps, sequences, and more! Along with ballet they will be introduced to jazz. They will begin to learn the basics of our 5 level curriculum-learning jumps, turns, and more! Participates in Recital

Students will explore ballet fundamentals, beginning terminology, jumps, sequences, and more! Along with ballet they will be introduced to hip-hop through rhythm and grooves. This is a favorite for all young dancers! Participates in Recital

This class is the perfect introduction to music and movement. It is designed for the newly walking toddler or a child under 3 who is not quite to separate from their caregiver. This is for both child and care-giver.

Flex Classes for Intensive Training and Teens

For dancers seeking a more intensive summer experience, we offer our popular Flex Classes for ages 8-18. These drop-in, convention-style classes give students the opportunity to explore a range of styles, from ballet to contemporary, while improving their technique in a high-energy, flexible environment. Flex classes provide an ideal setting for dancers to challenge themselves and grow.

Recreational Dance Classes

Elite Dance Center offers a fun and supportive environment for dancers of all skill levels, ages 2-12. Our recreational dance classes allow children to develop their skills in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and more. These classes are perfect for young dancers looking to improve their technique while enjoying the art of dance.

Tap

Petite Tap: ages 5-6/ Levels 1-6: ages 7+Teen Tap: 12+. Tap Dance is a timeless art that combines dance and percussion. Tap Dance classes explore the two traditions of Broadway, rhythm tap, and hoofing. Classes all begin with warm-up exercises in the center that increase control, coordination, and rhythm, followed by across the floor exercises that teach dynamics, phrasing, and musicality, concluding with tap combinations and improvisation exercises. The goal is to develop tap dancers who are equally strong musicians, dancers, and performers.

Stretch and Conditioning

Open Level: ages 7+. This class is a combination of deep stretching and body conditioning. The class is heavy in cardio to increase endurance for the dancer. The class includes several arms, abdominal, and leg exercises to strengthen the entire body. Strong muscles are vital for protecting the body and of course improving dance skills! Healthy muscles are important to let you more freely and keep your body strong.

Pilates

Open Level: ages 8+. Pilates supports the dance aesthetic by strengthening and toning muscles while also elongating and slimming them. The focus on the deep, intrinsic muscles of the body help to pull muscle into the bone, creating a slimmer frame but providing the strength and endurance a dancer needs each muscle to have. Pilates also increases and builds technique, as it focuses on graceful and fluid movements that are the basis for many dance genres. As a dancer continuously commits himself or herself to the method, he or she will grow muscle memory and strength so that the technique and precision of his or her art is increased.

Lyrical

Mini Lyrical: ages 6-8 Levels 1-3: ages 9+. Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends jazz and ballet techniques. It is performed to music with lyrics so that inspires expression if strong emotions that the choreographer feels from the lyrics of the song. Music used for Lyrical dance is usually emotionally charged and expressive and gives dancers a chance to express a range of strong emotions through their dancing. Our lyrical classes include a warm-up, some across the floor techniques, and a combination. Our classes are leveled off by age within our four-level curriculum. The classes range from beginning to advanced levels.

Legs and Feet

Open Level: ages 7+. This class works from the hips to the foot to specifically focus on the bottom half of the dancer’s body. By increasing flexibility in the hips and lengthening behind the knees the dancer will be able to break through barriers they are having and reach those goals! This class incorporates Therabands, tennis balls, foot stretchers, ankle weights, and blocks to make the process fun and effective!

Leaps and Turns

Level 1-5: ages 7+. Leaps and Turns is a jazz-based technique class based on a 7 level curriculum. This class focuses on strict technique to help the dancer achieve their fullest potential. This class includes a warm-up focused on strength, conditioning, and flexibility. The rest of the class is focused on learning new turns, leaps, and jumps! Class placement is based on annual exam. New students can try level 1 or set up a private assessment to determine class level.

Jazz

Petite: ages 6-7/ Levels 1-Pre-professional ages 8+ /Teen Acro: 12+. Our jazz program is based on a 7-level program from pre-jazz through pre-professional. Our jazz classes are high energy classes that focus on technique and musicality. These one-hour classes work through a detailed warm-up, across the floor techniques, and combos. Dancers will learn skills in leaps, turns, and jumps. Class placement is based on annual exam. New students can try level 1 or set up a private assessment to determine class level.

Injury Prevention

Invitational Company Class. Safety and injury prevention is our main goal here at the Elite Dance Center. This class is designed to help the dancer understand how to properly use the muscles in their legs and feet to help improve mobility and strength which will increase the longevity of the dancer’s career.

Hip Hop

Mini Hip-Hop: ages 6-8 /Levels 1-5: ages 8+ /Teen Hip-Hop: 12+. Hip-hop dance is a high-energy high impact style of dance. Our hip-hop classes use primarily urban music and stay with the latest dance trends. This is an energetic and fast-paced dance class. This class helps students develop rhythm, musicality, coordination, and precision. Our classes are run with high-energy instructors that are motivational and challenging. Each class begins with a warm-up, teaches new skills, and ends with a high-energy dance combination. Hip-Hop classes help develop strength, agility, and focus while having fun.

Improvisation

Ages 8+ Int/Adv Must be enrolled in contemporary. In this class students will use a series of evocative instructions that build one on top of the other. Rather than coping a particular movement, each student actively explores these instructions, discovering how they can interpret the information and perform the task at hand. Influenced in the Gaga technique this class offers a creative framework for students to connect their bodies and imaginations, increasing physical awareness in a welcoming atmosphere connecting mind, body + spirit.

Contemporary

Ages 8+ Levels 1-5. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines the elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet. This collection of methods developed from modern and post-modern dance, strive to connect the mind and the body for every dancer. With a heavy base of improvisation, students will explore a yoga warm-up, improvisational exercises, and phrases set to music. This is a feel-good class! Recommended taking Ballet or Jazz for technique, as contemporary is the extension of other genres of dance.

Ballroom

Ages 8 + Levels 1-3. Be a part of the craze! Our ballroom classes are high energy-fusion stye classes. Dancers explore the cha-cha, samba, rumba, jive, and salsa. They will learn the ballroom technique behind all these styles. There is no need for a partner in these classes, dancers learn footwork and combos individually. Our dancer’s love these high energy ballroom classes!

Pointe

Pointe work is the next step for every aspiring ballet dancer. Designed for the more advanced dancer, pointe work will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across the floor combinations. All students must be in ballet 3 or higher to be considered for pointe. Students will be tested to determine level.

Ballet Elite

Pre-Ballet: ages 6-7 /Premiere Levels 1-4 + Intensive Levels 1-4 (Ages 8-18). The mission of Ballet Elite is to inspire and empower individuals through the art of dance with the focus on classical ballet training. We are dedicated to providing access to high quality dance education, fostering artistic excellence, and promoting inclusivity. Our ballet classes are based on a 8-level curriculum starting from pre-ballet to pre-professional with American Ballet Theatre techniques. All classes include barre work, center work, turns, leap, jumps, adagios, and allegros. Class placement is based on annual exam. New students can try premiere level 1 or set up a private assessment to determine class level.

Aerial Arts

Ages: 8+. Aerial Silks is a beautiful, creative, and challenging art form made popular by Cirque Du Soleil. It builds unparalleled core and upper body strength, coordination, and confidence. Students learn to climb, wrap, twist, contort and drop in a variety of positions from suspended silks. Anyone with determination and a great work ethic can progress quickly. Aerial classes use several apparatus including silks, hoops, and the chandelier.

Acrobatics

Petite Acro: ages 6-7 Levels 1-5: ages 7+. We are a certified Acrobatic Arts studio. We have based our five-level acrobatic program off of the Acrobatic Arts Curriculum. Our program is safe and effective for all ages and levels. Acrobatics focuses on flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling. Each class consists of a warm-up, strengthening, balancing, flexibility, and gaining new skills. From cartwheels to back handsprings, we can take every dancer to the next level. Acrobatics is a great skill for all dancers! We determine placement for each student with our annual review.

Pre-School Classes

Ages 18 months thru 6 years. Available in Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz, Ballet/Hip-Hop, Ballet/Tumble. Our classes are 45 minutes to 1 hour, which consists of 25-35 minutes of ballet, and the remainder of the class in tap, hip-hop, jazz or tumbling. The classes infuse proper dance etiquette and group interaction to keep students engaged and interested. All classes are progressive in age and level and are the beginning blocks of our 5 level curriculums. This program was designed with serious thought and care to the curriculum. We introduce children to dance and music in an encouraging, fun, yet disciplined environment. Whether your child is shy or outgoing we can assure they will love our classes. Our instructors are specially trained to work with small children, and they are caring, sensitive, energetic and dependable. We determine placement for each student with our annual review.
