Moving Into Stillness offers a progressive, contemplative approach to cultivating an embodied awareness of the spine and breath from which we can initiate movement and stillness. Supported by the breath, this mixed levels class will include sun salutations, standing, spinal extension and seated poses as well as fostering a clear mind.

Saturdays 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Core Centering

Core Centering offers a creative, embodied approach to engaging with the deeper interior and cultivating core awareness of the spine and central axis from which we can find support and freedom within the poses. To help balance the nervous system, this class includes meditation and breathing awareness and is suitable for advanced beginning to intermediate students.Teachers are also welcome to refine their practice & steep in the well of Yogic wisdom.

Thursdays 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Chair Yoga
Offered by Donation

Chair Yoga is a way of practicing more "traditional" yoga poses with the support of a chair, which can make yoga available for people who prefer to not use the floor. Appropriate for people who are working at a desk or a computer and wish to take a "yoga break," to refresh and renew their energy. Sometimes, a simple forward bend or a twist done in the chair is just the thing for renewing one’s energy! Jan has been practicing yoga since 1970, and teaching since 1992 throughout Shasta and Siskiyou Counties, including Shasta College, College of the Siskiyous, Shasta Yoga, and others. No pre registration necessary.

Tuesdays 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Strength & Balance

Strength & Balance is a progressive, exploratory & sequential approach to building strength and awareness for specific actions that support movement and stability including basic arm balances and in-depth, longer held standing poses and preparations for inversions. Amy emphasizes self care, alignment & technique for a sustainable, lifelong practice; her classes are suitable for advanced beginning to intermediate students. Teachers are also welcome to refine their practice & steep in the well of Yogic wisdom.

Tuesdays 8:30 am - 10:00 am

Unwind mental, emotional and physical tensions to uncover an inner spaciousness that brings forth insight, compassion, gratitude, and ways that honor… Components of this class include: Centering/attuning, basic breathing practices that help regulate the nervous system and steady the mind, slow, gentle movements for warming tissues and mobilizing joints, basic standing postures - to safely foster strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and inform our daily movements, restful, reclining, seated or gently inverted postures - supported by props.
