Principal instructor Bobbi "Noelani" Kellett brings extensive experience, having trained in Hula in Hawaii and Tahitian dance with Simone in Newport Beach, and performing throughout Southern California in the 1960s. She has been dedicated to instructing since 1970. Trisha "Makakii," co-founder, choreographer, teacher, and creative director, complements this foundation with her background in Ballet and Jazz from Footnotes Dance Studio and performance experience with Disney. Noelani's Halau O Hula Mo'olelo welcomes students of all ages, from 3 years old through adulthood, to immerse themselves in the beauty and history of these art forms. Lessons guide 'haumana' (students) through Hula basics in Hawaiian and English, progressing to deeper cultural intricacies, songs, language, and traditional implements. The curriculum also includes specialized classes such as 'Kane Class' for boys aged 8 and up, and a 'Haka and Fire Knife' performance class.
