About Redding Ballet Theatre

Redding Ballet Theatre, located in the heart of Redding, California, is a dedicated arts institution established in 1993, formerly known as Redding Ballet Academie. Formerly the Redding Ballet Academie, the studio has been fostering a love for the performing arts and serving as the official training school for Redding Ballet Theatre and Redding Theatre Company. We invite dancers of all ages and skill levels to discover their passion in a nurturing and welcoming environment. Our diverse curriculum offers instruction in genuine dance genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance, as well as Musical Theatre and Acro. Our dedicated faculty includes owner Diana Christensen, an artistic director with extensive choreography and performance experience, who teaches Ballet levels I-V, Tap, and Musical Theatre. Amelia Esposito, School Director and Choreographer, leads Creative Ballet, Ballet II, Broadway Dance, and Advanced Ballet. Abigail Chesson instructs Adult Ballet classes, and Chloe Wilder teaches Jazz and Acro. With a commitment to fostering growth through patience and kindness, Redding Ballet Theatre emphasizes high expectations alongside supportive instruction, providing a positive and enriching dance education. We aim to build community through the performing arts, offering a space for artistic development and personal enjoyment for dancers throughout the Northstate region.
