Classes

Adult Program

Dance isn't just for kids, we love teaching adult classes! Dance classes are a great way to relieve stress, stay healthy, and get in some much needed "YOU" time during the week. Come try your FREE trial class today. Our classes are fun, and require no previous dance training.

Competition Program

Love to dance? Ready to take your training to the next level? Our competition program is just what you're looking for! Also known as our RAD DANCE TEAM , members of our competition program train a minimum of 2 hours/week, and compete at both local and national dance competitions. Our studio director, Cori Heckmann-Moody has a great reputation in the world of competitive dance, and can help your competition level dancer bridge the gap from the competition stage to the professional stage. Recreational Program

Our recreational program is our largest, most popular program, and is geared for dancers 3.5-18 years of age. We offer weekly classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tumbling, Stretch, & Musical Theatre. Dancers will learn proper dance technique from the same teachers who run our competition program, learning terminology, building confidence, and increasing strength/flexibility, all while having fun, making new friends, and developing a passion and love for dance.

Intro to Dance Program

Every dancer’s dream, to be on the stage and in the spotlight, must begin somewhere. We just love giving them their start! This 30 minute weekly class consists of ballet and tap technique. We introduce them to the basics of dance movement and vocabulary, while they learn the importance of following instructions, learning to take turns, and being a productive member of a group class. At this age, fun is key! We want your young dancer to develop a love for dance that will stay with them for years to come. The first class of each month begins with a coloring page, and the last class of each month finishes with a monthly themed certificate and performance.

Parent & Me

An introduction to the art of ballet in a nurturing environment. Children and parents begin to explore the world of dance through movement, music, and rhythm. Shake, rattle and roll to the rhythms of classical music, popular nursery rhythms, and much more. Your toddler will discover the joy of dancing together and creating a bond to last a lifetime.

MUSICAL THEATRE

A very fun and popular style for the dancer who loves to be on stage. It is a fantastic way to feel like you are in the theater without having to sing or act. Jazz technique, stylization, expression is also taught in this class which enhances their dance education and future theater opportunities.

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY

Expressive dance forms combining ballet, jazz and modern technique. Our lyrical/contemporary classes are for dancers who like physical activity, complicated choreography, and self-expression. Dancers will utilize their technique while learning choreography and developing their own personal style and expression, which will enhance their overall performance. Elements of improvisation are also introduced.

HIP-HOP

A high-energy class incorporating Hip-Hop choreography, and foundational techniques such as popping, locking, footwork, and break dancing. Dancers will learn movement influenced by some of today’s hottest music and video choreography, as well as be encouraged to develop their own personal style through freestyle movement and picking up choreography. These classes will help build confidence and performance quality in our students, as well as give them the opportunity to self express.

ACRO/TUMBLE

Acro/Tumble classes are for the innate tumbler in every child. These classes develop flexibility, control, strength, and motor skills. Class skills include but are not limited to: Forwards Rolls, Backward Rolls, Bridges, Walkovers, Handstands, Elbow Stands, Chin Stands, Cartwheels, Round-Off's, Handsprings, Ariels & More. Acro/Tumble classes are a great addition to our dance classes for dancers wishing to become more well-rounded.

BALLET

Ballet training is essential to the fundamentals of all dance forms. This class will emphasize proper body placement, alignment, grace, posture, poise and fluidity of movement. This class includes Ballet Barre and Center work. Additionally, dancers will learn the French terminology that forms the basic universal language of dance. Pointe opportunities are available by evaluation.

TAP

Tap is an audible art form in which dancers create sounds with their feet. This class covers rhythm, coordination, timing and proper tap technique. Students will learn about musical timing and to how to unite Their feet, arms, and body to the beat the music.

JAZZ

One of the most popular and well known forms of dance. Jazz is a fun, high-energy dance form that develops technique, rhythm and style while building strength, flexibility and body awareness. It focuses on clean lines, turns, jumps and tricks. Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. In a Jazz class the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance. It is a wonderful class to get a well rounded variety of all dance steps. This is a perfect class to start your dance training.

COMBO CLASSES

Our Combo Classes are the perfect choice for both new dancers and existing dancers to train in multiple styles of dance, helping to encourage dancers to become more well rounded performers and artists. Combo Classes are 45 minutes long and consist of Ballet/Tap, Lyrical/Jazz, and/or Jazz/Hip-Hop technique. Try one, or try them all! We invite you to come see what makes our Combo classes the most popular choice amongst our recreational dancers. Help your child discover movement and expression while networking with other parents through a structure that blends dance, music, and imagination together in a weekly, 30 minute class. Music, movement, balance, and basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. This type of class includes mom, dad, or another loved one participating in the class along with the little dancer. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving along while parents take an active role in encouraging, supporting and keeping their little dancer on track. We are ready to dance when they are!

This innovative program is designed for children ages 2.5-5, combining a rich performing arts curriculum with a preschool education.
