YOUNG DANCER INTENSIVE

In a fun, nurturing, and creative environment, students in the Young Dancer Intensive continue to hone their technique, artistry, musicality, and performance skills, led by School Director Jorge Laico and the faculty of Sacramento Ballet. They will delve into Ballet, Contemporary Dance, and Jazz. There will be a mini-performance at the end of each session. No audition is necessary to participate in the Young Dancer Intensive.

Level 2 is for beginner dancers. You do not need any experience to join this class, but you must be 9 by Sept 1. Students will meet 4.5 hours per week. It is very important for the students to attend all classes to be able to move up in the Student Division.

Creative Movement 2

Our Creative Movement levels introduce ballet movements in a creative fun environment. Although children mature at different rates we ask that all students start in the class of the age they are on Sept 1. Creative Movement 2 is for 5 year olds, kindergarten.

Ballet Fundamentals

Designed for children 7 years old, Ballet Fundamentals presses on toward our Student Division and adds a second day per week of curriculum. Students focus on basics and begin barre work. Please sign up for both classes when registering for Thurs/Sat class schedule.

Level 1 is for beginner dancers. You do not need any experience to join this class, but you must be 8 by Sept 1. Students will meet 1.25 hours 2 times a week. It is very important for the students to attend all classes to be able to move up in the Student Division.

ADULT INTENSIVE

This one-week intensive, geared for beginner to intermediate adult ballet dancers, is intended to bridge the gap between fitness and fun, focusing on strength, flexibility and rhythm.

COMPANY REPERTOIRE WEEK

This new Company Repertoire Week is ideal for the dedicated dancer preparing for a career in professional ballet. Learn choreography from today’s top choreographers in a company style format, taught by Sacramento Ballet Rehearsal Directors, Sacramento Ballet School Division Leads, and Sacramento Ballet Company Members.

These magical, half-day camps blend creativity, storytelling, and ballet basics in a fun, supportive environment—ending each week with a special performance for family and friends!

WEEK LONG CAMPS ALL THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER
NUTCRACKER IN JULY!

This immersive week-long program invites dancers ages 8–12 to explore Sacramento’s favorite holiday tradition in a new way. Students will study choreography from Nutcracker and experience excerpts inspired by some of the ballet’s most iconic moments.

JUNIOR SUMMER INTENSIVE

The Junior Intensive (ages 10-13) broadens the perspective of students and introduces them to a more rigorous training schedule with a variety of classes, including ballet, modern, jazz, repertoire, and musical theater.

SENIOR SUMMER INTENSIVE

The Sacramento Ballet Summer Intensive is intended for serious ballet students and is designed to refine technique, artistic expression, and musicality to prepare well-rounded, classically trained dancers for a professional career.

FAIRYTALE CAMP

Join us for a week-long summer camp to discover stories, dances and crafts about new and old fairy tales. Unicorns, fairies and many magical tales will be discovered through movement and a showing at the end of the week. Dancers will provide their own water bottle and snack every day. Performance on the last day Thursday, July 3.
