Presidio Dance Theatre

PDT offers private lessons and coaching as well as mentorship for professional dancers, emerging choreographers, and students. We also coach apprentices for prestigious national and international summer intensives as well as festivals and competitions. PDT mentors high school juniors and seniors, developing arts supplements & resumes for collegiate dance programs and companies.

Our community outreach program, DANCEOUT!, provides opportunities for sustained engagement in the arts, while advancing racial equity and supporting youth development. In partnership with SFUSD and the YMCA, 280,000+ Bay Area students and families have benefitted from our programming, including our annual Children’s Day at the SF War Memorial Opera House, a multicultural dance presentation highlighting the diversity and inclusive spirit of California. 99% of our students pursue a college degree and 85% of DANCEOUT! students are the first in their families to attend university, the majority receiving scholarships for dance.

Presidio Dance Theatre is widely recognized for Melania’s signature style of Ethno-Classical Ballet. Our repertoire of full- length original productions includes Beyond the Land of Sweets™ ; The Little Lantern Ballet®; and Dancing Across Cultures™.
