Musical Theater class has an age range of 8-12. A multi-class discount is available.

Beginning Hip Hop class has an age range of 5-9. A multi-class discount is available.

Jazz 1-3 class matches the ballet level of the student. Makeup class is any jazz class within one year of age level. A multi-class discount is available.

Level 3B Ballet class requires 2 Ballet Classes/Week in order to perform and to go en Pointe once dancer is of the appropriate age, strength, and level. No pointe before Age 11.

An introductory hip-hop class for ages 5-9, teaching fundamental hip-hop moves, rhythm, and coordination in a high-energy and engaging setting. This class offers a discount if a student is also enrolled in another class.

This energetic combo class for ages 4-6 blends the sharp movements of jazz with the percussive sounds of tap, providing students with a versatile dance education. These classes will have two dances in Rudolph and the SSBA Spring performance.

A dynamic combination class for ages 4-6, integrating the grace and technique of ballet with the rhythmic footwork of tap, offering a diverse dance experience. These classes will have two dances in Rudolph and the SSBA Spring performance.

This pre-ballet class is suitable for children aged 5-6 or those in Kindergarten, building upon foundational ballet skills with an emphasis on coordination, rhythm, and artistic expression. Pre-Ballet students perform in Rudolph and the SSBA Spring performance.

A foundational ballet class for young dancers aged 3-4, focusing on basic ballet techniques, creative movement, and musicality in a fun and encouraging environment. Pre-Ballet students perform in Rudolph and the SSBA Spring performance.

This introductory ballet class is designed for very young children to explore movement and music alongside a parent or guardian, fostering early motor skills and a love for dance. Students do not perform.

All classes are open on a drop is basis ($20/class or class card). Level 3&4 Ballet with Pointe will take place from May 26-August 14, but will be paused during Junior Intensive (July 21-August 2).

Taught by Allison Gustafson, this class is for intermediate to advanced level adults. It is a traditional ballet class geared to the adult dancer. This class is generally a repeat of the Thursday class, so that students have the benefit of repeating the combinations.

Taught by Susan Manchak, the Tuesday class is for intermediate adult students, while the Thursday class is designed for beginning adult students. The class is open to adults who are more advanced, but the class is designed for beginners, so it will be taught at a slow pace.

The Junior Intensive is designed for the more serious ballet student. The focus will be on ballet and pointe technique for the older student, while the younger student will work on strengthening to prepare for the more serious study of ballet. There will be a jazz class daily, character classes, Pilates and stretch classes, and rehearsals for the end-of-session performance. This is an intensive program for the serious student to focus on developing as a dancer.

The State Street Ballet Academy Mini-Dance Camps include ballet, jazz, tap, art, and rehearsal for the end-of-session performance on the (final) Friday at 11am. The consistency of daily study of dance helps students improve their skills and allows them to improve rapidly.

The State Street Ballet Young Dancers Audition Camp will include technique and pointe, as well as the opportunity to learn the Rudolph and Clara variations for the SSBYD/Rudolph/ Nutcracker audition. This camp is strongly encouraged, but not a prerequisite to audition. PLEASE NOTE: Only students level 4 and up may audition for SSBYD. Students in a lower level may attend the camp for experience, but are not eligible to audition.
