Ms. Sabrina's Dance Academy, located in Santa Rosa, California, is dedicated to fostering a love for dance and promoting the holistic development of young dancers. Founded by Ms. Sabrina Torrano, who began her own dance journey at age three, the academy provides a nurturing and enriching environment. Ms. Sabrina brings over a decade of teaching experience and curriculum development, with primary training and passion in Ballet, complemented by extensive experience in Jazz and Contemporary styles. Her philosophy centers on creating a welcoming space where children can build confidence, forge friendships, achieve a sense of accomplishment, and discover their passion for movement. The academy offers age-appropriate classes designed to build skill and self-esteem. Early learners begin with 'Mini Movers' (ages 2+) and 'Movers & Groovers' (ages 3-4), creative movement classes that emphasize play, exploration, props, balance, coordination, and musicality. As dancers progress, 'Pre-Ballet' (ages 5-7) introduces fundamental ballet technique, terminology, etiquette, and choreography, followed by 'Ballet 1' (ages 7-10) which deepens understanding of proper ballet technique, discipline, and body alignment. Ms. Sabrina's background also includes a bachelor's degree in sociology and experience working with vulnerable youth, further enhancing her approach to dance education and community engagement.
