Santa Rosa Ballet

Santa Rosa Ballet offers classes for pre-ballet, beginning at age 3, through pre-professional levels. Click on the menu items above for information on each class level, requirements, and registration.

Young dancers begin learning foundational dance steps through repetitive exercises developing strength, coordination, and musicality. The introduction of classical ballet discipline is balanced with explorative creative movement.

Open to students with little or no prior dance experience. Beginning at the barre, foundational exercises and stretches are introduced. In the center of the dance floor, students continue to learn new steps as skills are fine tuned to prepare the foundation for strong technique.

For the young dancer ready to be in a classroom without a parent. Fostering a love for dance through creative movement, developing body awareness, and strengthening little muscles.

Students have completed a minimum of one year of ballet training. Level 2 begins building the foundation of proper technique. Technical exercises develop awareness of correct body alignment, turn out, increased flexibility, and strength. Consistent attendance is imperative at this level.

Students have completed a minimum of 4 years of ballet training. Level 5 moves at a brisk pace increasing technical knowledge, flexibility, and more demanding pointe work.

Students have completed a minimum of 5 years of ballet training. Level 6 requires advanced knowledge of classical vocabulary and technique. Students are able to execute complex, technically challenging combinations as well as strong pointe technique.

Students have completed a minimum of two years of ballet training. Level 3 requires increased knowledge of ballet vocabulary. Multiple steps are incorporated in each exercise. Turn and jump combinations are introduced.
