About Flatirons Dance
Flatirons Dance, located in Arvada, Colorado, is a vibrant studio offering a comprehensive range of dance disciplines for students of all ages and experience levels. Our diverse programs foster a love for movement and artistic expression. We provide foundational classes for our youngest dancers aged 3-6 in the Kinder Dancers program, artfully blending ballet, jazz, and tumbling to develop listening skills and basic dance fundamentals. For older students, we delve into the elegance of classical ballet, exploring barre exercises, center-floor work, and intricate combinations, including pre-pointe and advanced pointe training. Our Jazz program focuses on developing strong technique with body isolations and performance quality, encompassing Broadway, Street, and Contemporary styles. Enthusiasts of urban dance can explore the energetic world of Hip-Hop & Break Dancing, learning breaking, locking, and popping to contemporary music. Poms & Cheerleading classes build foundational team-style dance skills like leaps, turns, and jumps. We also offer Lyrical/Contemporary classes that encourage partnering and fluid interpretation of music, drawing on techniques from ballet, jazz, and modern dance. Aspiring performers can explore Musical Theater and the grace of Aerial arts, while Ballroom classes provide a foundation in partnered social dance forms. Flatirons Dance also caters to those seeking advanced training with opportunities for competitive teams. Our full-year program runs from September through May, culminating in an exciting end-of-year recital. While specific instructor names are not detailed, our programs emphasize progressive learning, with curricula becoming more complex as students advance through different levels.
