Motion Exchange Dance Studio

Three years of previous dance experience recommended. Age 10 and up. Students are on track to complete a strengthening program, pre-test and post-test during the session to determine safety and readiness for dancing on pointe shoes, which will be determined by the instructor and the director. Please inquire with Amy regarding auditions for pointe.

No experience necessary! Drop-in rate $15 also available.

Age 5-7, ballet and tap combination class. Children will wear ballet and tap shoes and leotard and tights for this class. No experience needed.

Age 5-10. Children will wear sneakers and comfortable clothing for this class. No experience needed.

Age 10 and up. Children will wear sneakers and comfortable clothing for this class. Recommended two years of prior dance experience.

Adult Tap, no experience necessary! We have some tap shoes to borrow for trial classes. payment options are drop in, punch card, or enroll in the whole session.

Age 3-5. Creative movement including concepts of ballet, tap, hip hop and jazz. Rhythm, technique as well as games, dance class etiquette and early understanding of dance vocabulary for young children. Children will wear comfortable dance clothing, and ballet shoes for this class. There are several pairs of ballet shoes available at the studio to try on, borrow, or purchase for $5.

Combination class of Ballet II with Jazz/Contemporary II. Age 7-9, beginning dance class. Children will wear ballet shoes and jazz or contemporary shoes, and leotard and tights for this class. No experience necessary.

Pointe students must be enrolled in Ballet IV/Pre-pointe to audition. Please contact Amy to inquire about auditions.

Age 9 and above, Intermediate/advanced class. Children will wear jazz, contemporary or ballet shoes, and snug fitting dance clothing for this class. Recommended two years prior dance experience.

Age 9 and above, advanced dance class. Children will wear jazz, contemporary or ballet shoes, and snug fitting dance clothing for this class. Recommended two years prior dance experience.
