Studio V offers a comprehensive selection of dance disciplines, including foundational Ballet, energetic Jazz, rhythmic Tap, expressive Lyrical, and the dynamic fusion of Acro. Preschoolers embark on their dance journey with engaging Ballet/Tap and Jazz/Acro classes designed for creative movement. For older students and adults, Studio V provides structured levels in Acro, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap, focusing on building technique and musicality. Performance Troupe opportunities allow dedicated dancers to hone their craft and share their talents at local events. Adult Tap

In Adult Tap, dancers will progress in their tap technique while also focusing on rhythm, counting, and musicality. Tap Dance is one of the most unique dance forms, because we dance AND we create music, using tap shoes as percussion instruments! This means that Tap Dance not ONLY has the physical benefits of dance AND the developmental benefits of learning music!!

Sr. Performance Troupe

All dancers 5 and up with at least one year of dance experience are welcome to participate in our performance troupe. This class will meet twice a month and focus on practicing and cleaning performance pieces. These students will have the opportunity to perform at local events throughout the year.

Jazz (Lyrical)

Lyrical utilizes ballet, jazz, acro, and modern technique in a combination that is typically faster than ballet but slower than jazz dance. Lyrical is a style that evokes emotion and tells a story.

These classes will touch on the many styles of jazz dance including: classic jazz, broadway jazz, contemporary jazz, and jazz funk.

In intermediate and advanced levels, students will continue to progress in their ballet technique with a full ballet barre, center combinations and more advanced across the floor technique. Ballet is a great class for students to learn basic technique they will use in many other classes.

In beginning level classes, students focus on the basics of ballet dance including body positions, plies, tendues, rond de jambes, and port de bras. They will learn the basics of ballet barre and beginning across the floor technique.

We use the Acrobatic Arts syllabus that focuses on five different elements; tumbling, limbering, strength, flexibility, and balancing to safely grow students skills. Acro Dance is a fun fusion of dance and acrobatics.
