About Front Range Classical Ballet Academy

Front Range Classical Ballet Academy, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, is dedicated to providing exceptional classical ballet training for dancers of all ages and levels. Led by director Ixchel Levendosky, known for her expertise in classical and contemporary choreography and personalized teaching, the academy offers a comprehensive curriculum. The "Petite Ballerinas" Program (ages 2-11/12) focuses on age-appropriate learning, while the Pre-Professional Program offers intensive training for aspiring professional dancers, accessible by invitation or audition. Adult dancers also benefit from enhanced training opportunities. The academy emphasizes correct body placement, injury prevention, and nurturing talent in a supportive environment. A dedicated "Adaptive Dance" program, though currently on hold, aimed to foster rhythm, coordination, and teamwork in children with disabilities, reflecting an inclusive approach. Master classes with diverse guest instructors are scheduled monthly. The academy also hosts dance-focused day camps, including "Budding Ballerina" for ages 8-13 and "Twirling Tutus Camp" for ages 5-8, which introduce children to movement, ballet history, choreography creation, and dance-related crafts, open to all experience levels. Acknowledging potential financial barriers, Front Range Classical Ballet Academy offers work-study and scholarship programs. While primarily focused on classical ballet, the academy provides ample performance opportunities, though participation is never mandatory. The esteemed faculty includes Deneice J. Dyer, Kim Tsao, Violet Jupiter, Kristin Mahoney, Connor Downer, Quentin Golden, Eliza Moore, and Anneke De Jong.
