Rachael McWilliams Lessard grew up dancing at Little Theatre, and is thrilled to be back as a part of the Alumni Class! Rachael graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2008 with a BA in Theatrical Choreography, and has been choreographing and performing around the Denver-Metro area ever since.

Briana Wimsatt was given the opportunity to teach at Little Theatre and realized her love for it. Now she attends the University of South Carolina as a Dance Education major where she has been performing in shows and setting up dance workshops for the community.

Corinne Wilson is now majoring in Dance Performance and Choreography at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina and is a member of the Elon Dance Company. She credits Little Theatre for giving her a strong base in a variety of dance techniques and teaching her the value of community and integrity in the dance world.

Colleen Uspensky teaches, coaches, and choreographs at a dance studio in Chicago called May I Have This Dance. Here she trains her students to not only be great dancers but to be great passionate people.

Dancers in this class will learn the basics of jazz and hip hop. This will help build strength in our little dancers along with coordination and flexibility. All movements in this class will be age appropriate. Dancers will have a great time in this class and build stamina. Dancers will learn a routine and have performing opportunities.

Little Theatre’s ballet and tap classes are taught by our caring and qualified staff, which brings a personal and supportive approach. Students will learn the fundamentals of both ballet and tap in a fun environment, and also the discipline required for a classroom setting. During the course of the year, students will learn and perfect choreography in both tap and ballet, while also having performing opportunities. All costumes and dances are age appropriate, and sure to make you proud of your tiny dancer.

We at Little Theatre believe that every child needs to have discipline and respect enforced in every environment. Little Theatre’s Tiny Tot Program is about providing a fun and energetic place to grow as a dancer while still teaching them “the rules” they will need in school.

Attire includes black camisole leotards, tights in pink, black, and tan, jazz pants, dancer shorts, and ballet, tap, jazz shoes. Shoes are available with a sizing kit and will be ordered as requested.

We offer two different levels for this class. We have our younger stretch leaps and turns and then our Jr. advanced / advanced level. This is a technique class used to help build strength and flexibility along with that extra push to help the dancer excel.

The contemporary class is offered to our advanced level dancer and our jr. advanced level dancer. This class is for the dancer that wants to experience a different type of dancing that takes sharpness yet the ability to dance out of the box.

Our Pre-Pointe / Pointe class is our class that prepares and maintains a dancer for pointe. We don’t put our dancers on pointe until their feet are done growing as it can damage their feet if done any earlier. Their core also has to be strong enough to support their footwork.

Hip Hop is our newest program at our studio. Our Hip Hop classes are offered starting at ages 7 and go to our company level dancers. These classes are super fun and offer a great elective and foundation classes as dancers learn to move their bodies. Dancers will learn a routine and have opportunities to perform.

Jazz is the next basis every dancer needs after ballet and tap. Our Jazz classes are extremely fun and focus on completing the foundation every great dancer needs. Dancers will learn a routine and have opportunities to perform.

Our ballet and tap classes are a combination class. Every student with a dream of dance needs to have a base of ballet and tap. The ballet provides the exquisite presence on stage while tap provides the student with the rhythm and coordination they will need.

This class offers unlimited dance options for students, with a fixed monthly tuition fee.

A five and a half hour dance class is available weekly, with a defined monthly tuition cost.

This option includes five hours of dance instruction per week, with a corresponding monthly tuition rate.

A four and a half hour dance class is offered weekly, with a set monthly tuition fee.

This dance class provides four hours of instruction per week, with a specific monthly tuition amount.

A three and a half hour dance class option is available each week, with a defined monthly tuition cost.

This class offers three hours of dance instruction per week, with a corresponding monthly tuition rate.

A two and a half hour dance class option is available weekly, with a set monthly tuition fee.

Students can enroll in a two-hour dance class per week, with a specified monthly tuition cost for this duration.

This class option provides one and a half hours of dance instruction per week, with a corresponding monthly tuition fee.

A one-hour dance class option available for students, with a monthly tuition fee associated with this specific duration of instruction.

This category is for Tiny Tots aged 3 to 6 years old, with class durations ranging from 1 hour to Unlimited Dance options, catering to various levels of engagement and learning.

We are taking names for a new Tiny tot Ballet/Tap class for Ages 4 – 5 years old!

She is experienced in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, pointe, hip hop, and tap and is currently teaching Junior Contemporary, our Senior Elite team, and our tiny tots. Dance, for her, is a way to express emotions in a healthy way while staying fit and challenging the mind.

Maggie has also enjoyed teaching Ballet & Tap, Jazz and contemporary. She is exceptionally grateful for her home at Little Theatre and is continually rejuvenated and inspired by the joy of her students.

Alyssa is skilled in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap and technique. She is one of the Competitive Team choreographers and has received many choreography awards for her pieces.

Leah’s true joy of dance comes from her tap shoes. She has enjoyed teaching the tiny tots and as well as some other classes.

Debbie's love for Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical has brought up many dancers who are performing or teaching in many states. She feels very blessed to do what she loves every day and learn something new from all the students.

Jazz students wear black leotard and black jazz pants. Hair should be neatly away from the face in a bun.

Dance classes specifically for adults, offered at a price of $80.00 for an 8-week session.

Our Adult Tap & Jazz class is on Saturday mornings. This class provides the basic fundamentals while still providing a challenge. The ladies in this class have tons of fun and a great time. This class is offered in six week increments.

Mary has maintained a relationship with Ms. Debbie and Little Theater, performing with other alumni at the Big Show in 2014 and teaching classes for the Winter Dance Intensive in January 2015.

End of summer ADVANCED DANCE INTENSIVE! Saturday, August 9th 9:30 to 2:30. Cost $95.00. Catered lunch included. This will be our end of summer Advanced Dance intensive for all JR Advanced/Advanced and Company dancers. We have all guest teachers coming and look forward to a wonderful day of technique, choreography and sweat!!! Bring water, snacks and tennis shoes. Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz and hip hop along with conditioning.

Come join us for the Ballet Intensive! This is for Jr Advanced /Advanced and Company dancers.( Advanced and Company members are required to take this intensive) The dates are Tuesday, July 22nd – Thursday, July 24th. 930 to 1130. The cost is $90.00 We have a special Guest teacher that will be coming to share their talent with our dancers. You don’t want to miss this intensive. It is focused on Ballet technique from a classical stand point that every dancer needs.

Calling all dancers ages 8 to 11! Come join us for a dance intensive just for your young dancers age group. This is a one day camp on Friday, July, 25th from 9:30 to 2:30. The cost is $90.00.We will be working on technique and choreography in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, beginning contemporary and hip hop. Please provide a sack lunch . We will provide snacks and drinks.
