Pilates Reformer
Pilates supplemental training can make a huge difference for dancers. Pilates provides core strength, increased flexibility, and most importantly a balanced musculature for injury prevention. But there’s more; dance can make a huge impact on dancers’ performance at all levels. Conditioning
Focuses on exercises designed to help stretch and strengthen a dancer's body. For dancers Ballet 3 and higher and is mandatory for dancers who are going on pointe or who are on pointe.
Character
Character dance is a specific subdivision of classical dance. It is the stylized representation of traditional folk or national dance, mostly from European countries. Open to dancers in Ballet 6 and higher.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a genre of dance performance that developed during the mid-twentieth century and combines ballet, modern, jazz, and lyrical dance. Open to dancers in Ballet 3 and higher.
Musical Theatre
Musical theatre class introduces dancers to musical theatre-style dance. Open to dancers in Ballet 3 and higher.
Jazz
Broad-spectrum of New York style jazz from lyrical to Fosse. Levels beginning to advanced starting at Ballet 1.
Tap
Broadway-style from beginning to advanced beginning at Ballet 1. Students typically spend three or more years in each level.
Variations
Variations classes are part of the comprehensive training offered in the Professional Training Division, allowing dancers to practice and refine solo or small group classical ballet excerpts.

Adults Dance Class
This class is designed for adults seeking to engage in dance activities, emphasizing clothing suitable for movement. While leotards and tights are recommended, dance skirts, yoga pants, or other comfortable attire are acceptable. Appropriate dance shoes specific to the class type should be worn. This class offers a welcoming environment for adult dancers of all levels.
Conditioning, Stretch, Pilates Mat, Pilates Reformer
This class focuses on building strength, flexibility, and core control through conditioning, stretching, and Pilates exercises. The dress code includes a leotard and tights, with t-shirts and shorts allowed over them. A yoga mat is also required for participation in these vital fitness-focused dance activities.
Tap
This tap dance class emphasizes rhythmic footwork and musicality. Students should wear a dress code leotard and tights, with t-shirts and shorts permitted over the leotard and tights. Beginning ladies and all men require flat tap shoes. Intermediate ladies need tap shoes with a small heel, and advanced ladies may wear any type of tap shoe, with heels required for performances.
Character
This character dance class, open to Ballet 6, 7, and 8 students, focuses on theatrical and stylized movement. The required attire includes a dress code leotard, pink tights, a black character skirt that falls below the knee, and black character shoes. This class develops performance skills and stylistic versatility.
Contemporary
This contemporary dance class, suitable for Ballet 5, 6, 7, and 8 students, emphasizes expressive movement and modern techniques. Dancers should wear a dress code leotard and convertible tights worn rolled up. No shoes are required, but socks are optional. T-shirts and exercise pants may be worn over the leotard.
Jazz and Musical Theatre
This dynamic class combines jazz technique with the performance demands of musical theatre. The dress code includes a leotard and tights, with full-length black jazz pants required for performances. Flat jazz shoes are mandatory for all students. T-shirts and shorts may be worn over the leotard and tights. No skirts or dresses are permitted in this class.
Boys Ballet
This ballet class for boys requires a white t-shirt, black tights or black bike shorts, and short white socks if needed. Black ballet shoes are mandatory, with split-sole shoes required after Ballet 1. This class focuses on the foundational and progressive techniques specific to male ballet dancers.
Ballet 7 and 8
These advanced ballet classes are for dancers approximately ages 12-19, requiring a high level of technical proficiency and artistry. Dancers must wear a black leotard (without skirts), light pink-footed convertible tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes, pink pointe shoes, black character shoes, and a black character skirt. Bras should not be visible, and colored or clear plastic straps are prohibited. Colored leotards may be worn on Saturdays if all classes are attended that week. If any class is missed, it must be made up before colored leotards can be worn. Ballet 8 dancers may also wear a colored leotard on Wednesdays if all classes are attended. Hair must be in a ballet bun.

This advanced ballet class is for dancers approximately ages 11-18, demanding strong technique and stage presence. Dancers must wear an eggplant leotard (without skirts), light pink-footed convertible tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes, pink pointe shoes, black character shoes, and a black character skirt. Bras should not be visible, and colored or clear plastic straps are not allowed. Acceptable brands include Theatricals, Natalie, Body Wrappers, SoDanca, and Ainsliewear. Aubergine is acceptable for Lulli. Hair must be in a ballet bun. Colored leotards may be worn on Saturdays if all classes are attended that week.

This ballet class is for dancers approximately ages 11-17, requiring a hunter green or forest green leotard (without skirts), light pink-footed convertible tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes, and pink pointe shoes. Bras should not be visible, and colored or clear plastic straps are prohibited. Acceptable brands include Theatricals, Natalie, Body Wrappers, Capezio, Lulli, and Eurotard. Hair must be in a ballet bun.
Ballet 5A
This advanced ballet class is for dancers approximately ages 11-17, focusing on classical technique and artistry. Dancers must wear a burgundy leotard (without skirts), light pink-footed convertible tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes, and pink pointe shoes. Bras should not be visible, and colored or clear plastic straps are not allowed. Bras should not be visible, and colored or clear plastic straps are prohibited. Pink pointe shoes are permitted only with teacher approval. This ballet class is for dancers approximately ages 7-14, advancing their ballet training. Required attire includes a lavender leotard (without skirts), light pink-footed convertible tights, and pink split sole ballet shoes with an elastic strap. Acceptable shoe brands are Capezio, SoDanca, and Lulli. For Body Wrappers and Wear Moi, lilac is acceptable, but Bloch or Theatricals are not due to color variations. Hair should be in a ballet bun.

Sarah currently serves as Ballet Master/ Associate Choreographer for Wonderbound, a new American dance company based in Denver, CO. During her 15-year tenure as a company artist, she danced in and originated numerous Principal roles by award winning Artistic Director Garrett Ammon.
Vaganova method of ballet and character dance
Mr. Mesropov is trained in the Vaganova method of ballet and character dance. Mr. Mesropov served on faculty at Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and was the Artistic Director of Ballet Royal Institute of Maryland where he choreographed and staged many productions including The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Giselle and annual gala concerts featuring principals from American Ballet Theatre.

Francisco enjoys teaching ballet to students of all ages and has also coached and choreographed for a number of students in preparation for the Youth American Grand Prix, the Jackson IBC Competition, and ADC/IBC.

Hayley Marrinson started dancing at age of 5, in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where she grew up. She continued dancing while in high school, including the yearly performances. She got her bachelor’s in early childhood education at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Marissa began dancing at the age of 4 at One Step Ahead Dance Studio in Lakewood, Colorado. From 2009-2015 she attended Denver School of the Arts as a dance major. In 2012, she began dancing at Littleton Dance Academy, training under Bobbie and Ali Jaramillo.

Talia Boresow began her ballet training at the Kansas City Ballet School from the age of 6 to the age of 10. During those years, she also attended the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) summer program.

Born in Cork, Ireland, Tracy started dancing at the age of 5 with Ballet Theatre Ireland. At the age of 11, she moved to London to train at The Royal Ballet School where she graduated from with a Trinity Diploma in 2007.

Born in Quito, Ecuador, Francisco moved to the United States at the age of 5 and began dancing in Louisville, KY at the age of 7. Francisco went on to train in New York at 16 and graduated from the School of American Ballet.

Bryce was born in Missouri and started his professional training at 12 at Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy in Laguna Hills, CA. In the summer of 2011, he attended School of American Ballet, then was asked to stay for the Winter Term program from 2011-2012.

Karina began dancing at 3 years old under the tutelage of Irina Hamilton with Soul Motion Underground. She continued her training with Ali and Bobbie Jaramillo at Littleton Ballet Academy where she had the privilege of performing the roles of Clara in The Nutcracker, the Sprite in Cinderella, and Ozma in The Wizard of Oz.

Adrianne is an award-winning musical theatre performer and choreographer. LA credits include being a two-time Scenie Award and ITL Award winner for her performances in Chicago and Born Yesterday. She recently performed Cassie in A Chorus Line at Sierra Repertory Theatre, performed several supporting roles at the Candlelight Theatre, Sheila in A Chorus Line at Centerstage in Fontana and danced professionally in a contemporary dance company in Orange County.

Erin has over 30 years of dance experience. She began her training of Ballet in Northern California, at a Balanchine based studio. During those early years she traveled around the state receiving numerous scholarships to master classes and summer intensive programs.
Conditioning
Jamie has had ten years of dance training with teachers at LBA but her first love is figure skating. She has had 21years of figure skating experience in Free Skating, Ice Dance, Moves in the Field, and Synchronized Skating.
Contemporary
Sarah Tallman was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. A once small town with an unusually prolific number of passionate teachers, her early training not only pushed her through the rigors of classical ballet but also exposed her to music and theatrics.

Slava is from Baku, Azerbaijan and graduated from the Baku Academy of Ballet. He was a soloist with the Azerbaijan Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, Moscow Festival Ballet, Ballet South and Colorado Ballet. Mr. Mesropov is trained in the Vaganova method of ballet and character dance.

Debra has been teaching and performing in Colorado for over thirty years. She has a B.A. with honors in Dance from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has been a principal dancer with the Jackson Ballet, Colorado Ballet, David Taylor Dance Theatre, and other local companies around the state.

Lorita is originally from New Zealand. She was trained in both the Royal Academy of Dancing syllabus and the Russian Vaganova system. In her 20-year professional stage career, she danced with the Berlin Ballet, Boston Ballet, Atlanta Ballet and International Ballet Rotaru and has been a guest dancer with many companies.
