Older students and adults can further their training in performing groups like the "Chicos Performing Group," "Juvenil Performing Group," and "Avanzado Performing Group," gaining extensive experience in regional dance styles and teamwork. Beyond their core folkloric offerings, the studio also provides classes in foundational styles such as Ballet, Hip Hop, and Salsa, alongside specialized training in Flamenco. A "Culture & History Class" is integrated across all programs. Aspiring musicians can immerse themselves in learning to play, read, and understand Mariachi music with instructors Phil Gonzales and Nicoli Hernandez. Nicoli shares his expertise on guitar and vihuela, while Phil, with over a decade of experience and a music degree, passes on his passion. Grupo Folklórico Del Pueblo has an impressive history of international travel, performing in countries like Colombia, Italy, Portugal, and France, and has been featured in significant cultural exchanges. They also engage the community through local performances, including their 11-year tradition of Day of the Dead events, and collaborative projects like the Folklorico Exhibit with El Pueblo Museum.

Classes

Mariachi Classes

Avanzado Performing Group

This group is for our older individuals 12 years old to ADULT who can handle learning and performing throughout the year. This class provides the students with various experiences in dance, the Arts, performing, regions, teamwork , mentorship and much, much more!

Juvenil Performing Group

This group is for our middle school aged individuals who learn to develops their technique and form to reach more advanced and technical styles of Folklorico.

Chicos Performing Group

Pequenas Performing Group

This group is for our younger individuals that are ready for the challenge of performing throughout the year. Depending on thier age they will be placed in either the Chicos or Grandes class. This class provides the students with various experiences in dance, the Arts, performing, regions, teamwork and much much more!

Introduction to Folklorico Class

In this class, students ages 5 and up, begin to develop foundational knowledge in dance technique, teamwork, rhythm, culture and history centralized in the Mexican and Latinx cultures. At the end of this term our students present their knowledge in a recital hosted at GFDP (Dinner and a Show event)

Ninos Class

This class allows children (3-5) to work on their motor skills while developing their technique in Mexican Folklórico movement

Mariachi/Musica Classes

Beginners Class

are you interested in learning how to play and or sing? This is the class for you!
