Students ages 3+ are encouraged to continue their training throughout the summer. The Summer Dance Intensive, theme camps, and adult classes are all available.

The Adult Program (ages 15+) offers classes in ballet technique. These classes are designed for teens and adults who are interested in an open enrollment, ongoing training program at the beginner or intermediate/advanced level.

Our youngest students begin their movement experience at age three in the Pre-K Program.

Youth classes are open to all, based on age and training backgrounds. These classes are designed to give students the opportunity to broaden their dance vocabulary and repertoire.

Classical ballet training is the core of the program, which offers three divisions of study for students. Other forms of dance are offered to expose students to the vast spectrum of the performing art of dance.

Private lessons for children and adults are available throughout the year, including summer. Our distinctive faculty will help you achieve your goals whether you are a beginner or advanced student. Lessons are offered at our main campus location, the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, and at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School in West Hartford, Conn. Students take a private lesson once a week during our 34-week academic year (September–June).

The Adult Summer Program (ages 15+) is designed for teens and adults who are interested in an open enrollment training program at the intermediate or advanced level. It runs for eight weeks. Class work strengthens and tones the body, increases flexibility, musicality, balance, and coordination in the context of dance movement. This program focuses on strengthening, toning, and increased flexibility.

The Pre-K Program offers creative movement classes for students aged 3-5. Curriculum includes exercises for rhythm, musicality, balance, coordination and locomotor skills in the context of dance movement. Our Summer Pre-K session runs for eight weeks. There will be a special opportunity for parents and guardians to observe a class at the conclusion of the session. This program focuses on developing rhythm, musicality, coordination, and locomotor skills.

Hartt Community Division summer theme camp includes movement and story-telling all based on a weekly theme for ages 5-8. This program focus on dancing, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
