Classes

Technique

Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance, from holding your body correctly while performing to executing skills properly in a routine. Jumps, turns, flexibility and strength are the focus of our technique classes.

Tap

Tap classes focus on rhythm, musicality and timing. All classes begin with a warm-up, across the floor exercises and combinations. Students will combine rhythm, percussion, musicality and tap technique. Improvisation, call and answer and many exciting approaches will allow students to learn, grow and perform tap routines.

Musical Theater

This class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions.

Lyrical

Lyrical is a dance style that embodies various aspects of jazz, ballet and contemporary and incorporates beautiful, graceful, flowing movements with emotion. Students will learn concepts like contract and release and making connections to the music.

Jazz/Tap

This class gives our dancers a way to experience tap and jazz in one class! Dancers will continue to learn technique but also learn rhythm, coordination, musicality and confidence. Focus on improving their strength, flexibility, and endurance while doing combinations to fun and upbeat music.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop class is a street style dance class performed to upbeat music with a strong foundation of movement techniques that consist of grooves, rhythms and dynamics. There will be an emphasis on commercial dance techniques and commercial performance preparation.

Tiny Tumblers

This class will consist of both hip hop and beginning tumbling for ages 3-5. Classes will introduce a structured environment but we include creative movement songs to keep students entertained. The ultimate goal is to help them learn how to move their bodies and learn to have fun while dancing.

Tiny Dancers

This class will consist of both ballet and tap techniques for ages 2- 4. Classes will introduce a structured environment but we include creative movement songs to keep students entertained. The ultimate goal is to help them learn how to move their bodies and learn to have fun while dancing.

Move with Me

This class is for our dancers ages 18 months-2 years to get to learn the basics of dance through creative, fun, encouraging and innovative movement and music that excites them while dancing along with someone they love!

Jazz

Jazz classes focus on strength, flexibility and learning proper technique. All jazz classes will consist of a warm-up, stretching, progressions of movement across the floor focusing on technique and combinations to fun and upbeat music. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Commercial to help develop a well rounded dancer.

Intro to Dance

This class will be comprised of an introduction to ballet, tap and jazz basics for children in K-1st grade! Dancers will begin to learn technique but also learn coordination, classroom etiquette, self expression and confidence using methods for young imaginative minds and bodies. The ultimate goal is to give them a good foundation and teach them to love moving their bodies!

Ballet

Ballet improves every dancers balance, strength, control, and flexibility. Class is comprised of barre work, center exercises and across the floor combinations. Students learn classical ballet technique, dance fundamentals, proper placement, musicality, and artistry while building strength and performance skills.

Acro

Acro uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic-based tricks. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. Safety and proper form are of utmost importance!

Tiny Tumblers

This class will consist of both jazz and beginning tumbling for ages 3-5. Classes will introduce a structured environment but we include creative movement songs to keep students entertained. The ultimate goal is to help them learn how to move their bodies and learn to have fun while dancing.

Int/Adv Hip Hop

Ballet

Any color tank top or t-shirt paired with leggings, bike shorts, athletic pants joggers or sweatpants with white converse sneakers. No pajama pants, sweatshirts or jeans please!

Lyrical

Any color leotard paired with tan or pink tights & fitted shorts or ballet skirt. A ballet sweater or leg warms may be worn. Pink ballet shoes

Tap (grades 6 & up)

Any color leotard paired with tan or black tights & fitted shorts Or fitted top paired with fitted black bottoms (such as leggings, bike shorts or athletic pants) & tan turners!

Jazz/Technique/Musical Theater

Any color leotard paired with tan or black tights & fitted shorts Or fitted top paired with fitted black bottoms (such as leggings, bike shorts or athletic pants) & black lace up tap shoes!

Beg Hip Hop

Any color leotard paired with tan or black tights & fitted shorts Or fitted top paired with fitted black bottoms (such as leggings, bike shorts or athletic pants) & tan jazz shoes!

Combo Grades 2-5

Any color leotard paired with tan or black tights & fitted shorts Or fitted top paired with fitted black bottoms (such as leggings, bike shorts or athletic pants) & black sneakers

Tiny Tumblers

any color leotard, & skirt (can be attached or not) paired with tights. Shoes depend on your class day- pink ballet slippers, black patent leather tap shoes and tan jazz shoes!

Tiny Dancers

any color leotard, & shorts paired with bare feet or ballet shoes

Combo classes also help dancers learn multiple styles and improve their strength, flexibility, and endurance

Acro & Hip Hop

This class will be comprised of an introduction to gymnastic and hip hop basics for children in K-2nd grade! Dancers will begin to work on strength and flexibility and start working on acro skills. Dancers will also learn to express themselves, confidence and learn how to move their bodies.

Tuesday 5pm - 5:45
Ballet/ Lyrical
