Founded on a deep passion for artistic expression and led by the visionary Mary Elizabeth Alfonso, the academy nurtures talent across a spectrum of dance styles. Students can explore the foundational grace of Ballet, the energetic rhythms of Hip Hop, the expressive storytelling of Contemporary, and the dynamic performance of Jazz. Ballroom dancing and specialized classes such as Pointe, TechFlex, Improv Lab, and Dance Composition are also integral to the curriculum. Our distinguished faculty includes Mary Elizabeth Alfonso, who holds a B.F.A in Dance Education and a Master of Arts from New York University, bringing a wealth of experience. Addie, a dedicated instructor and performer, and Candace, a seasoned professional with credits including the Billboard Music Awards, offer invaluable industry insight and nurturing guidance. Alfonso Academy is committed to fostering talent across all ages, providing a supportive environment for dancers to develop their skills, explore their creativity, and achieve their performance goals. For serious students, the academy features an audition-only Pre-Professional Daytime Program with a collegiate-level approach, offering intensive, one-on-one instruction through 2-day or 3-day options. The studio also supports competitive aspirations with its Velocity Dance Company, allowing students to showcase their dedication and artistry.
