Prepares the young child for all forms of dance: teaches rhythm, coordination and use of energy; teaches the mind to perceive, understand and remember. As in all of our classes, but especially Little Stars and Creative Dance, structure is maintained through a consistent class format. The activities within each segment of the class time will change as the year progresses. However, the order in which activities are introduced remains the same. By maintaining a consistent class format, the child’s ability to predict their environment increases. With this increased predictability, the child’s level of anxiety decreases and sense of security increases. This is one basic way to decrease behavior problems in young children...let them know “what comes next.”

Camps

Leggz Summer Camps

No matter what level of dance experience, our camps are an excellent and creative way for your child to spend the summer! Each camp week begins with watching a movie of the week on a big screen projector. The campers then create crafts, play games, and learn a dance throughout the week - all from the movie theme. At the end of the week all of the campers celebrate the fun they had while enjoying pizza & popcorn. All levels of dancers are welcomed, even beginners! Camps begin June 10th, space is limited so be sure to enroll soon!

Weekly, June 10th - August 3rd
