A low impact, ballet based, conditioning class to help dancers understand their placement and build core strength and awareness.

Pre-Pointe (Beginner)
This class will focus on building strength in the ankle and calves via ballet specific thera-band and 4-pointe exercises at the barre.
Pointe (Advanced Beginner/Intermediate)
Class will start with 4-pointe exercises for strength and ankle alignment then move onto a pointe barre for strength and technique, and then will finish with center work.
Ballet Technique
Start your day with a refreshing ballet technique class followed by variations. These sessions cater to all levels and can be done on flat or pointe, helping you enhance both artistry and technique.
Adult Private Classes/Coaching
We offer personalized one on one coaching to assist our dancers to reach their dance goals. This is a tailored time to work on the continued improvement of the dancer’s technique, to work through steps that may be causing the dancer issues, or because you are new and really want to improve faster.
Adult Ballet 1
Completed our Intro to Adult Ballet Series twice or you have some ballet experience. Need to know basic ballet terminology, arm and foot positions, and structure of a dance class. You will continue to work on expanding your ballet terminology, adding arms to legs, center work, simple turns, small jumps, and simple across the floor movements.
Private Coaching
We offer personalized one on one coaching to assist our dancers to reach their dance goals. This is a tailored time to work on the continued improvement of the dancer’s technique, to work through steps that may be causing the dancer issues, coaching and rehearsing solos, and to assist in the creation of audition videos for college, summer intensives, or career opportunities.
Youth Ballet
Gulf Coast Dancenter offers a multi-disciplinary dance program built on a strong classical ballet foundation. Students are guided through an engaging program geared towards excellence in dance. The program sets students up for success while also creating opportunities for them to build friendships within our dance family.
Adult Dance Program
We are proud to offer several styles of dance for adults. Adult classes accommodate the absolute beginner through advanced level dancers and focus on a satisfying and artistic experience. Classes are for dancers 16+ and were created to give adults a unique experience and the opportunity to share their passion for dance within a community of other adult dancers.

Student Division Ballet
Catres to aspiring dancers aged 6 and above who are eager to pursue their ballet training further. This program is divided into three divisions each with a different focus and purpose.
Pre-Ballet
A perfect introduction to ballet for young dancers embarking on their dance journey. This program is divided into three divisions each with a different focus and purpose.
Pre-Ballet 3
This is a 45-minute ballet class that introduces the child to the world of ballet. The focus of the class at this age is classroom etiquette, simple ballet terms, hearing the music, the start of lower and upper body coordination, and strength.
Ballet 5

This class is part of Level 3, designed for students in Grades 5th and up, ages 10-15 by September 1st. It is an essential component of the Youth Ballet Program, focusing on advanced ballet technique and training intensity.
Pointe 5
The Pre-professional Division merges extensive ballet training with high-quality performance opportunities to equip students for thriving in the dance industry, whether it be within a company or university environment. Adult Jazz 1
Beginner: no experience – 2 years dance experience. This class is also great for Intermediate level dancers or those who took time away from dance. The class has a great flow and is excellent for honing your technique and building strength.
Adult Ballet 3
2 – 4 years current experience. Working on pirouettes, you have a large ballet vocabulary, arms and legs are coordinated, and are now able to move at a faster pace.
Adult Ballet 3 – Pointe
Must have instructor’s permission to take, this is for Adult Ballet 2 or 3 level students just starting on pointe or have experience and want to build strength and improve their pointe technique.
Ballet 3/pre-pointe
This class is part of Level 3, designed for students in Grades 5th and up, ages 10-15 by September 1st, and introduces pre-pointe work for advanced ballet training.
Ballet 4/5

Pre-Ballet 4
In Pre-Ballet 4 we work on oppositional coordination of the body, strength, and flexibility. In addition, music theory is formally introduced as well as expanding their ballet terminology.
Jazz 3
This class is part of Level 3, designed for students in Grades 5th and up, ages 10-15 by September 1st. It incorporates jazz dance to equip ballet dancers with refined rhythmic coordination and the capacity to infuse dynamic performance qualities into their repertoire.
Pre-Ballet 5
Pre-Ballet 5 is the precursor to Ballet 1. In this class we start to lay a more traditional ballet structure to the hour long class, begin to count different rhythms of music, formally start to work on placement of arms, and continue to expand on the student’s ballet terminology.

Adult Ballet 4
4+ years current experience, teachers, retired professionals, etc. This class moves fast and is a true advanced ballet class.
Adult Ballet 2 – Beginning Pointe
This class is designed for adults who are ready or almost ready to go on pointe. You should already be at the Adult Ballet 2 level and feeling confident in class with the technique and terminology. Placement and alignment of the body is key, as well as the strength of your feet, ankles, and calves. The structure of the class is a classic ballet barre warm up, strengthening exercises, and finally working in your pointe shoes. You MUST have the teachers permission to be on pointe, as well as, you are regularly attending one ballet class each week in addition to the pointe class.
Adult Ballet 4/Pro (& Ballet 5)
