Emotional and physical health are key to a successful early childhood development!

Flamenco is a genre of Spanish music, song, and dance from Andalusia, in southern Spain, that includes cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance) and palmas (handclaps). We offer Flamenco classes for children ages 5 and older.

Jazz/Hip Hop Combo

This class allows students to take the 2 most popular forms of dance in one class. The jazz/hip hop class teaches fundamental jazz steps and combines the elements of hip hop moves and contemporary music. We have found that the combination of jazz and hip hop is ideal for beginner levels.

Hip Hop

We offer Jazz/Hip Hop classes for children ages 5 and older. Our office staff can assist in selecting the proper class for a beginner student in our Kendall, Miami location. Hip hop dance is one of the most popular styles of dancing. One thing that separates hip-hop dance from other forms of dance is that hip hop is often more improvisational. Hip hop is known for its cool moves and quick spins.

Jazz

Jazz is one of the most popular dance styles used in Musical Theatre. It is a more structured style of dance than hip hop. Hip Hop is a fast, high energy type of dance seen in music videos and commercials.

Lyrical & Contemporary

Lyrical dance is a combination of jazz and ballet. It incorporates the gracefulness and technique of ballet, and the sharpness and modern music and movements of jazz contemporary and modern dance. Lyrical choreographies are based on the lyrics of the music. They usually express very strong emotions, like love, joy and anger; making Lyrical one of the most expressive forms of dance. Similar to Lyrical, Contemporary style incorporates ballet technique and uses abstract movement to convey a story. At Alouettes Academy we concentrate on Graham, Duncan, Horton and Limon techniques. We offer Lyrical & Contemporary classes for children ages 6 and older. Our office staff can assist in selecting the proper class for a beginner student in our Kendall, Miami location.
