The foundation of our curriculum. Our faculty follows a syllabus steeped in the Russian tradition. The school has three distinct divisions. Our Children’s Division is for girls and boys ages 3 to 7 and our Classical Ballet Division is for girls and boys 8 to 19. We also have an Open Division for students 8 and up with classes in Character Dance, and Contemporary.

The training begins with elementary exercises necessary for placement of the body, the legs, and the head; also developing skills in coordination of steps. Classes become increasingly complex as the students advance through systematic development. As their training progresses, the emphasis is placed on developing strength, stability, smoothness of graceful movement and suppleness.

Our school year programs cater to both males and females and we provide instruction throughout each week to accommodate schedules of our students.

This program designed just for the three-year-old, stresses the development of gross motor skills, musical awareness and appreciation, spatial awareness, and listening skills. This fun-filled class is specially designed with early dance movements, musical rhythm instruments, and pantomime.

This unique program has been developed for 4-year-olds. It focuses on coordination, development of motor skills, musical appreciation and interpretation, and the development of a child’s natural creativity. They learn to develop expression through the use of pantomime and creative movement.

These programs introduce the young student to the study of ballet as a joyful dance experience and as a performing art. Students begin a more formal study of ballet through age-appropriate skill development, appreciation of music and its discriminating qualities while still allowing opportunities for creative expression.

Character dance is a specific subdivision of classical dance. It is the stylized representation of a traditional folk or national dance. Character dance is mostly from European countries, and uses movements and music which have been adapted for the theater.

Our Boy’s Classes have been developed for the purpose of introducing young male students to the fundamentals of dance within an all-boys classroom setting. Each student has the opportunity to explore and develop their musicality, coordination, flexibility, and physical fitness; skills that are needed for a dancer but also skills needed in the sports arena.

This class focuses on the fundamental exercises of ballet technique in a creative and stimulating environment. In this final level of the Children’s Division, the children, seven years old, are given a solid foundation in preparation for entrance into the Classical Ballet Division beginning with Ballet 1.

A three-week-long program with rigor and tenacity for experienced dancers looking to continue to refine their classical training. Focuses on developing the technical and artistic ability of dancers.

Renowned guest artists offer secure and inspiring instruction on the art of partnering. Offers both advanced and beginning pas de deux classes to two different levels. Includes conditioning, ballet, pointe, and pas de deux class.

Cultivate a deeper understanding of ballet technique while serving as an introduction to summer intensives. Curriculum includes: ballet, contemporary, core dynamics, character and costume design. Well suited for aspiring young dancers.
