The Boys Club II at The Academy of Ballet Arts introduces young male dancers to balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength in an exciting and engaging way. This class combines movement, music, and imagination to help boys develop athletic skills and self-discipline, whether for dance or sports.

Pointe classes at The Academy of Ballet Arts provide advanced students with the technical training and strength needed for pointe work. This specialized ballet technique allows dancers to balance and move on the tips of their toes while wearing pointe shoes, which provide structural support to distribute weight safely.

For Ages 12+ | Audition Required Ballet V is designed for advanced students working within the fifth-year Vaganova syllabus. The class focuses on precision, strength, and artistry, preparing dancers for professional opportunities.

For Ages 12+ | Audition Required Ballet IV follows the fourth-year Vaganova syllabus with additional French technique training. Students develop advanced technical skills, artistic expression, and performance quality.

For Ages 11+ with At Least Three Years of Training Ballet III continues the Vaganova syllabus while incorporating French technique. Students refine their artistry and strength, preparing for advanced pointe work and variations.

For Ages 9-14 with At Least Two Years of Training Ballet II follows the second year of the Vaganova syllabus while introducing French technique. Pointe work begins in a separate class, helping students strengthen their technique before advancing further.

Classes Include: Ballet, Pointe (Ballet IB only, with teacher’s permission), Character Dance, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Variations, Acting, Dance History, Stretch & Strengthen. The three-week program ends with an in-studio performance for family and friends.

This program is designed for intermediate and advanced dancers looking to refine their technique and artistry. Students from other dance programs are welcome but must schedule an audition to be considered. Classes Include: Ballet, Pointe, Character Dance, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Variations, Acting, Dance History, Stretch & Strengthen, Pilates. This intensive also includes: Introduction to Allegra Kent’s Water Exercises, A visit to a local museum tied to a choreographic project. The four-week program concludes with an in-studio performance.

The Summer Intensive Workshops at The Academy of Ballet Arts offer dancers of all levels the opportunity to train, refine technique, and explore multiple dance styles in an immersive program. Held at our studios on the ArtsXchange Campus of the Warehouse Arts District, these intensives provide high-level instruction, performance opportunities, and creative exploration.
