From time to time, we offer Summer Pop-Up Open Classes for various dance styles, ages and skill levels. Follow us on Instagram to be the first to know about these fun classes!

Spotlight is an invitation-only accelerated program for dancers in 1st grade and up (and Kindergarten on occasion). It is ideal for dancers who are ready for a more focused classroom atmosphere. Spotlight instructors will provide dancers with challenging choreography and technique to be the best they can be. This invitation-only class provides an additional performance opportunity to perform their jazz routine at one talent competition in the spring.

Petite Pizzazz is an invitation-only accelerated program for preschool and kindergarten dancers. This is a high energy and faster paced class for dancers that show focus as well as exceptional coordination and dance skills. These classes are chosen through class and recital observation at the end of each season. Petite Pizzazz is an hour-long class including ballet, tap, and jazz. These dancers will perform two routines (jazz and tap) in our year end show!

DanceFit is more than just exercise—this class will fuse cardio, interval training, and strength exercises with the infectious rhythm of hip hop moves, ensuring you will have a fun workout! Be on the lookout for pop-up DanceFit events throughout the season!! Dates TBD

Join us for this popular, energetic form of dance! This class allows you to perform with freedom of movement. This class is inspired by today's latest music and hippest trends in dance.

One of the most traditional forms of dance using special shoes to create different rhythms, sounds & patterns. Tap is great for developing musicality and coordination skills!

This expressive form of dance incorporates a fusion of many dance styles and often tells a story through choreography and dance phrases. Dancers are also encouraged to explore their emotions and movement through improvisation. A strong ballet and jazz foundation enhances the quality of movement.

Jazz hands out! Join us for this upbeat, energetic class and you'll be kicking up your heels and grooving to your favorite music!

Groove Mekanix is an invitation-only, all boys hip hop crew that performs at various community events as well as competition. We have a Junior Crew and a Teen Crew made up of guys ages 7-18. They take one special hip hop class weekly, but are encouraged to take additional classes and styles.

This is a required class for Spotlight dancers. Stylish, trendy attire and sneakers are encouraged. Examples include joggers, track pants, sweatpants, tees, tank tops, hoodies, basketball shorts, and leggings.

This is a required class for Spotlight dancers. It involves Lycra fitted jazz shorts, leggings or leotard, a fitted top, tank, or half top, and tan or appropriate skin tone jazz shoes.

This is a required class for Spotlight dancers. It involves solid black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair pulled back in a secure bun.

BOYS ONLY! We have two hip hop classes. Ages 5-8 and Ages 9-12. This popular, energetic form of dance, allows dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities. This class is inspired by today's latest music and hippest trends in dance. Age appropriate hip hop music and movement specific to guys is used for each class.

This class is for those high energy little ones that are always ready to show off their dance moves! It combines the basics of hip hop with basic jazzy moves and groove.

Fairytale Ballet is a magical class that combines ballet with creative movement! Every class is based on favorite fairytales and stories throughout the season, including dress-up days, magic wands, crowns, and more! This class is for little ones who love princesses and have a vivid imagination! Fairytale Ballet dancers will perform a story-driven ballet and creative movement piece in the Year-End show. Our Fairytale Ballet class is part of our Twirl program. Dancers will receive engaging Twirl activity sheets throughout the season to enhance their twirl-a-bility! All dancers will also receive a fun tag to keep on their dance bag and a Twirl Graduation Celebration Certificate at the end of the season!

This engaging program helps your young dancer learn age appropriate dance steps and proper terminology in a creative, lively and fun setting. Each week in class, your dancer will be introduced to basic dance steps, terminology, skills and concepts.

This 1-1/2 hour class includes all the features of our Twirl Classic class plus some snazzy jazzy moves, and a bit of musical theater! A great class for the little dancer that wants more dance in their week and can't decide on just one style!

This is the preschool and kindergarten ballet and tap combo class we've offered at Rhythm Dance Center for 32 years. It is a classic intro to dance, with a little extra sparkle! Your dancer will be introduced to ballet and tap basics that will provide an excellent dance foundation as they grow.

Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. In each exciting session, we produce a full-length production where students will explore their creativity through singing, acting and dancing.

Acrobatics, or Acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers, is defined by Acrobatic Arts as the a beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, classical ballet and even hip-hop. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and body through their movement.

This fun class combines upbeat, stylized movement with proper technique. Jazz dance is based on ballet principles with each class consisting of a warm-up using isolated movements, across the floor progressions, and current choreography all set to age appropriate music.
