Classes

Creative Classes

Creative Dance is for kids age 18 months to 2 years old. This is a non-competitive class where the students learn simple skills and steps to help them improve their hand-eye coordination and motor skills.

Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots is for kids ages 3-4 years old. This is a non-competitive class where the students learn ballet, jazz, and tap.

Kinderdance

Kinderdance is for kids ages 5-6 years old. This is a non-competitive class where the students learn ballet, jazz, and tap.

Combo Classes

Not only do we offer competitive classes for every age and level, but we also offer recreational classes too! Our combo classes offer training in Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop. The classes are fun and challenging with our the extra time and intensity of a competitive team. We offer separate classes for different age groups ranging from 6 to 15 years old.

Legs & Feet Stretchin g

Legs & Feet Stretch focuses on flexibility and strengthening in our dancer's legs and feet specifically. Although we stretch regularly in our classes, there is not always time to put a large amount of focus on stretches and flexibility, In this class, we take the time to ensure the dancers are stretching correctly and understanding how to enhance their flexibility and strengthen their feet.

Acro/Tumble

Our aero/tumble program is designed to help dancers with their flexibility and strengthen their tumbling skills in ways that are beneficial to dance. We focus on back flexibility, balance, walkovers, aerials, back handsprings/tucks, etc. and improve the fluidity of the movement in order to use those skills on stage.

Turns & Progressions

Turns & Progressions is our extensive technique training program that teaches basic technique essential for most dance forms. We pay special attention to posture and stance as weak as strengthening the core to maintain the balance and control while executing technical movement. Turns & Progressions focuses on the proper technique in pirouettes, leaps, jumps, battements, feet strengthening, flexibility, extensions, etc.

Hip Hop

Hip hop is a street style dance form that doesn't require a background in technical training. We offer classes for boys and girls of all ages and levels in the fun and upbeat dance form. Our teams and combo classes will do a hip hop dance with their class and have a hip hop class once a week. We also offer recreational hip hop for those who just want to dance for fun.

Tap

Tap is an important dance form for young dancers as a building block to help with coordination, rhythm, and musicality. Beginning level tappers will learn basic technique and steps while more advanced level tappers learn more complex steps and combinations that essential for dancers who plan to audition in the professional world.

Contemporary

In the past 15 years, contemporary has become on of the most popular forms of dance. It combines technique and movement from several forms of dance including jazz, lyrical, modern, ballet, and even hip hop. Contemporary allows dancers the freedom to express themselves through various movements and improvisation, Contemporary is a more advanced dance form in that a dancer must have a strong technical background in order to execute contemporary movement. We start our young dancers with more of a lyrical base and slowly integrate contemporary as they get older and more advanced.

Jazz

Jazz is a high intensity dance form that uses fundamental ballet technique and borrows from several other forms of dance. Jazz began with sharp, basic lines and steps but has progresses with the integration of contemporary. This class focuses on the necessary movement and steps that are utilized in many forms of dance and well as endurance, flexibility, and technique.

Pointe

Pointe is required for all dancers who are serious in continuing their ballet education. Starting with pre-pointe, we teach our younger, intermediate dancers the basic strength and technique necessary to ensure they are properly prepared for point, The minimum age requirement for a dancer to start pointe is 10 years old unless approved otherwise by an instructor. Once the dance has completed pre-pointe training, they will be properly placed in a pointe class based on their level of experience,

Classical Ballet

Classical ballet is the necessary technical foundation for a well-rounded dancer, We offer ballet classes for all ages and levels. In the beginning/intermediate ballet, we focus on the basic technical foundation, correct body alignment and positioning, posture, and stance of the dancer. In advanced ballet, we focus on developing and perfecting the quality of movement, and more advanced skills as well as providing more advanced choreography and curriculum. Classical Ballet not only offers physical benefits to our dancers, it also teaches our dancers the importance of discipline, structure, and commitment. Ballet training is crucial for dancers who want to be proficient in Jazz and Contemporary, as the vocabulary and technique originated in ballet.
