About Treasure Valley Ballet Academy

Treasure Valley Ballet Academy, located in Meridian, Idaho, stands as a premier destination for dance education, founded in 2002 by Miss Jocelyn Lockhart. Our distinguished faculty is dedicated to providing a comprehensive curriculum with a strong emphasis on classical ballet training for dancers of all ages, from toddlers to adults. The academy offers a structured progression, beginning with Pre-Ballet for ages 3-8, designed to introduce young children to ballet and creative movement, and progressing through advanced levels up to Ballet 7/8 for teenagers. Primary Ballet classes serve as a vital bridge for students aged 7 and older, fostering confidence and technique. Our curriculum includes detailed instruction in ballet technique, barre work, center exercises, and performance choreography. Advanced students aged 12 and up, with instructor approval, can explore specialized Pointe classes and Variations classes, delving into both classical and contemporary repertoire. Beyond ballet, students have the opportunity to explore other styles including modern, tap, and jazz, ensuring a well-rounded dance education. Our faculty comprises highly qualified instructors, including ABT® Certified Teachers such as Miss Jocelyn Lockhart (BA Dance, BYU), Hannah Jarvis (MA Teaching Dance, NYU), and Dianne Guzzle (Dance Pedagogy, Butler University). Additional esteemed instructors include TeAwna Peterson (BA Dance, BYU), Emileah Andrew, Sofia Striegl, Lilliana Comstock, and McKenna Palmer, a former student who completed a conservatory program at Ballet 5:8 and trained with Fort Wayne Ballet. Classes run from September through May, culminating in performances for all levels. We operate on a monthly tuition basis with various payment options and early bird registration specials available. Treasure Valley Ballet Academy is committed to nurturing young dancers, equipping them with the technical foundation and artistic expression essential for success in the dance world.
