Classes

Hip Hop and Contemporary

Gabriela Banuet Master Class

Lyrical

Ages 6 and up- A fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. Lyrical dance challenges dancers to use motion to interpret music

Musical Theater Dance

Ages 5 and up- Learning Performance and Various dance styles to modern day Broadway musicals.

Aerial Silks

This is an 60 min class. Incorporates a specialty fabric students use to climb, wrap, twist, bend, and drop in a variety of positions and movements. No previous dance experience needed.

Level 3-4 Acro

This is a 60 min tumbling class. All students must have a back bend kick over without a spot in order to move into this class. They will work on higher level tumbling skills including but not limited to back walkovers, front walkovers, back handsprings, ariels.

Intermediate/Advanced Hip Hop

Fun upbeat hip hop dance class for age 8 and up. No previous dance experience needed. They wear tennis shoes for this class.

Beg Hip Hop

Fun upbeat hip hop dance class. 60 min class for age 5-7. No previous dance experience needed. They wear tennis shoes for this class.

Pointe

will need to be approved by the teacher and is only for kids 12 and up who have enough strength and ballet experience to be fitted for pointe shoes.

Pre pointe

This class is for kids with ballet experience who have been approved by the teacher. This is for kids who are training for pointe shoes and have multiple ballet classes a week. Usually age 10-12.

Level 3/4 Tap and Jazz

30 min of each Progression from level 3 or previous experience in tap and jazz.

Level 3/4 Ballet

This is a 60 min class for those who have progressed from level 3 or have experience in ballet. Dancers who are serious about eventually progressing to pointe need at least 60 min of ballet a week to gain the strength and technique. Dance attire required, no specific color. Pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.

Level 3 Tap/Ballet and Jazz

Age 7-11 or kids or younger kids who have progressed from level 2 with teacher approval. Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes and black jazz shoes needed along with dance attire- any color.

Level 2 Acro

This is a 60 min tumbling class for age 5 and up. We will be working on basic tumbling skills such as forward/backward rolls, handstands cartwheels, round offs , back bend kick overs and walkovers.

Level 2 Jazz

30 min class: Best for age 5-7. We work on basic jazz turns, kicks and leaps and the jazz style of dance. Think upbeat and fun music.

Level 2 Tap/Ballet

Best for age 5-7 who have never been in dance class or as a progression from level 1 with teacher approval. Dance attire encouraged, no specific color. They will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.

Level 1 Acro

Best for age 3-6 yr olds as an introduction to tumbling. We will work on gross motor skills and core strengthening activities that they will need to achieve basic tumbling skills. Including forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, etc.

Level 1 Tap/Ballet

This class is best for 3-6 yr olds who are new to dance, or as a progression from predance. We work on the basics of ballet and tap for 30 min each. Dance attire encouraged- no specific colors. Pink ballet shoes are needed, as well as black tap shoes.

Tot Dance and Tumble

Best for Ages 3-4yrs. Provides and Introduction to dance and tumble. Dance steps and simple movement patterns are taught to enhance rhythm and musicality, quality of movements, and a deeper sense of emotion. Dancers will improve locomotor and axial skills through imagery and creative movement along with basic balancing and acro skills. No shoes required.

PreDance

Best for 2-4 yr olds who are a little more independent and want to start learning about dance, creative movement and gross motor skills. Parents are not allowed in this class. We work on listening, following directions, taking turns and is basically an intro to dance class. This is a great starting point if your child has never taken dance or other class before. If they tolerate the 30 min class well and its too easy- we can always move them up. Most kids wear leotard and tights or leggings and pink ballet shoes will be required for performances.
