About Synergy Dance Academy

Synergy Dance Academy, located in Bloomingdale, Illinois, is a vibrant studio dedicated to fostering a love for dance across all ages and skill levels. Our comprehensive dance education spans a diverse range of styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Modern, and Contemporary. We offer a welcoming environment for new families, providing a complimentary trial class to experience our community. For our youngest dancers, the "Sprout Program" introduces fundamental movement and motor skills through classes like "Tiny Tots" and "Intro to Dance." Older students progress through five levels, with specialized training available, including "Just Technique" for refining jumps and turns, "Tumbling" for strength and coordination, and pointe work for advanced ballet dancers. Our experienced faculty, featuring Studio Owner Lauren Blane, M3 Coach and Choreographer Caitlin Clark, and instructors Brandon DiCriscio, Megan Hansen, Lauren W, Megan W, Jordan, Sydney, Caitlin Y, Jamie, Suave, and JP, are committed to nurturing talent and providing high-quality instruction. Students have ample opportunities for performance and artistic expression through recitals, including the highly anticipated "Nutcracker" production, and competitive team participation. Level 5

Advanced dancers who have taken 7+ years of dance or Advanced classes. 5+ classes/week recommended.

Level 4

Advanced intermediate dancers who have taken 5+ years of dance or Intermediate classes. 4+ classes/week recommended.

Level 3

Intermediate dancers who have taken 4+ years of dance or Juniors classes. 4-6 classes/week recommended.

Level 2

Advanced beginners who have taken 1-2 years of Level 1 or Beginners classes. 3-5 classes/week recommended.

Level 1

Beginning level dance classes focused on building a strong base of the fundamentals. 2-4 classes/week recommended.

Synergy Sprouts

For the first time dancer looking to explore what dance is all about. Tiny Tots, Intro to Dance, Combo classes and Tumbling offered for this age range. 1-2 classes/week recommended.

Pointe

Dancers Level 3 and up are eligible to take our Pre Pointe and Pointe classes with teacher approval. All level 3 dancers are eligible for pre-pointe. Pointe 4 and 5 classes are invitation only. Dancers will be notified by a faculty member once they are ready for pointe shoes.

Tumbling

Run, flip, roll, and dive into some fun with Tumbling. Students will be challenged to build strength, coordination, power, and bravery as they progress from forward rolls to back flips. A plethora of mats and other inflatable teaching aids will help your child safely navigate new skills.

Just Technique

The name says it all. Dancers will focus on proper technique to strengthen and improve tricks like jumps and turns. This class will target and correct technical faults and help dancers achieve tricks with proper alignment and coordination.

Tap

Foot dexterity, rhythm, and coordination skills are practiced in this uptempo class. Dancers will have a blast learning how to jive with the music while enjoying this energetic multi­sensory class.

Hip Hop

This high energy class will challenge your stamina, dextarity and control. Proper hip hop technique based on isolations, grooves, and discipline. Dancers will learn short dances weekly that they will be expected to practice and improve for the following class.

Contemporary

Build and explore your artistic voice through improvisation and contemporary movement styles. Different from Modern technique, this class will challenge your creativity and ability to develop your own creative voice.

Modern

Traditional Modern technique focusing on elements of Graham and Horton techniques. Floorwork and weight transferring skills will be covered along with traveling skills across the floor.

Jazz

Isolations, agility and energy are combined to learn traditional jazz technique. Dancers will experience an upbeat class that includes center work. progressions, and traveling skills.

Ballet

Ballet fundamentals are found across multiple genres of dance. Dancers who train in ballet have the opportunity to improve not only in ballet but in other areas as well. Emphasis is placed on strength, discipline, and proper alignment. 1-3 classes per week recommended depending on level.

Sprouts Combo

This 45 minute class is a follow-up to Intro to Dance. In this class dancers will split their focus into two styles of dance while introducing a more challenging syllabus. A perfect segway into our Academy program. Leotard and tights included in tuition.

Intro To Dance

This 45 minute class is a follow-up to Tiny Tots. In addition to introducing a more challenging syllabus, your little sprout will focus on three dance genres including ballet, jazz, and tap. Leotard and tights included in tuition.

Tiny Tots

This 30 minute class is a great chance for your little one to learn basic dance vocabulary, fundamentals, and motor skills through the use of songs and games. Leotard and tights included in tuition.

Tap Level 1 & 2

Tap Level 1 & 2 builds upon basic tap steps, introducing more complex rhythms and syncopation. Dancers will develop speed, clarity, and musicality in their tap work. Suitable for those who have completed Level 1 or have prior tap experience.
