Turning Pointe Academy Of Dance

Revolution is an audition-only dance company focusing on ballet, jazz, lyrical and contemporary. The goal of the company is to build self-confidence among our dancers while improving their technique, artistry and performance level. The groups will perform and compete throughout the year.

We offer classes for the recreational dancer to the intensive dancer, from preschool to adult. Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Musical Theater Dance. Yoga is also available.

This class compliments many of the other intermediate/advanced level classes that are offered. (Will not participate in Recital)

This class is for the Tapper that has been away for a little or even a while that already has a good understanding of basic techniques. Intermediate techniques, rhythm and combinations will be learned. (Instructor approval required)

This class incorporates street jazz and hip hop to form a fun and fresh style of dance. ** Clean gym shoes not worn outside or jazz sneakers

Reinforces techniques learned in Ballet & Tap 1, and introduces new steps and terminology. (Ballet & Tap 1 is not a prerequisite for enrollment in this class)

(Ages 5-6) – Reinforces techniques learned in Ballet & Tap 1, and introduces new steps and terminology. (Ballet & Tap 1 is not a prerequisite for enrollment in this class)

Introduces basic tap and jazz techniques, with emphasis on coordination, rhythm and flexibility.

This class incorporates classic jazz and stylized movements pulled from Broadway Musicals to Hollywood Movies. Great for the student who performs on stage or in school musicals.

Combines basic ballet and tap techniques, with emphasis on rhythm, coordination and grace.

(Ages 3-4) – Combines basic ballet and tap techniques, with emphasis on rhythm, coordination and grace.

Reinforces techniques learned in Tap & Jazz 1, and introduces new steps and combinations. (Tap & Jazz 1 is not a prerequisite for enrollment in this class, however prior dance experience is recommended)

High intermediate ballet technique, terminology, barre and center work will be taught. This class meets twice weekly. (Instructor placement required for this class.) Dress Code: Royal Blue Leotard and Pink Tights, Hair in a bun

Advanced level jazz techniques, turns, jumps and combinations will be learned. (Four or more years of jazz required)

K-Pop (or Korean Pop) is a musical genre consisting of electronic, hip hop, pop, rock, and R&B music originating in South Korea. K-Pop choreography is highly influenced by hip hop and urban dance. ** Clean gym shoes not worn outside or jazz sneakers

For the ballet dancer with the strength and technique required to progress onto pointe. Must be enrolled in Ballet 3 or above. (Instructor permission required.) Dress Code: Same color leotard as Ballet class, Hair in a bun *Dancers please bring thera-band and tennis ball to class*
