LEAPS & TURNS 10+

Our Leaps and Turns class is designed for dancers who want to elevate their skills. This class is a focused blend of conditioning and skill work. Dancers will perform exercises and conditioning drills to build the strength needed for higher leaps and cleaner turns. The class includes progressions across the floor and center work, all aimed at improving a dancer’s technique and execution.

Tumbling 5+

The beginner acrobat class will focus on general motor skills, flexibility and strength for forward rolls, head stands, handstands, cartwheels, splits, etc. The intermediate/advanced class will focus on skills such as round off back hand springs, front/back walk overs, limbers, aerials, and contortion skills.

Intro to Dance II: 5-6

Our Intro II classes are a perfect next step for dancers who have completed our Intro I program. Building on the fundamental ballet and tap skills they’ve already learned, this combo class focuses on refining technique and introducing more complex steps. The curriculum is designed to prepare dancers for our à la carte classes by strengthening their foundational skills in both ballet and tap. This progression helps them confidently transition into our separate Ballet, Jazz, and Tap classes when they are ready.

Intro to Dance I: 3-4

Our 45-minute Intro classes are the perfect way for young dancers to begin their journey! These classes are a fun mix of ballet and tap, designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of both styles. In ballet, dancers will learn basic positions and movements, focusing on posture, coordination, and grace. In tap, they will have a blast exploring rhythm, musicality, and basic steps that create fun sounds with their feet. By combining these two styles, our Intro classes keep dancers engaged, helping them build a strong foundation while developing a lifelong love for dance.

Hip Hop 5+

This class is based on the unique American dance form evolved from Irish-American and African-American dance forms. The students will learn tap technique and vocabulary common to tap dance. They will learn coordination, rhythmic variations, and performance skills through a series of combinations and exercises.

Jazz 7+

This class is a common form of dance used in theatrical, commercial, and entertainment industries. Jazz has its roots in social dance such as African-American dance. Students learn techniques and vocabulary based on these traditions. Students will move through a daily warm-up and exercises to gain strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination. Musicality and performance skills are taught through combinations and a series of dance movements.

Contemporary 10+

Contemporary dance is a unique and expressive style that blends elements from various genres like ballet, jazz, and modern dance. Unlike more structured forms, it focuses on emotional expression, fluidity, and improvisation. Dancers use their entire body to explore space, gravity, and emotion, often performing with bare feet to connect more deeply with the floor. This style allows for a wide range of movements, from sharp and percussive to soft and lyrical.

Ballet 7+

This class develops physical proficiency in the performance of ballet vocabulary while promoting an understanding of principals, practices, and common vocabulary of ballet. Ballet training enables the student to gain strength, balance, dexterity, with an emphasis on correct anatomical alignment. Barre exercises condition and prepare the musculature to anticipate the execution of center exercises called Adagio and Allegro.
