Artistic Pursuit Dance Company, located in Westmont, Illinois, offers a comprehensive dance education for students of all ages and levels, fostering a love for movement and creativity. Our curriculum spans a wide array of genuine dance styles, including foundational techniques like Ballet and Tap, energetic genres such as Jazz and Hip Hop, and expressive forms like Contemporary, Lyrical, and Modern dance. Aspiring performers can also hone their skills in Musical Theater and Acrobatic dance. We emphasize strong technique, body awareness, and artistic expression, dedicated to developing dancers' strengths, coordination, and performance qualities. Specialized classes like Turns & Progressions and Strength & Flexibility offer targeted training to enhance overall dance ability and prevent injuries. For younger dancers, we offer introductory classes. Dedicated programs like Poms Technique and Poms Performance prepare students for auditions and team placements. Artistic Pursuit Dance Company features competitive teams, including the Petite Company (ages 8 and under) focusing on Ballet/Tap, the Regional Company for those newer to competition, and the National Company for advanced dancers. National Company dancers train in Ballet, conditioning, and genre-specific styles, requiring participation in a minimum of two competitive styles and a production number. Auditions for the 2025/26 season are underway. We encourage perseverance through challenges, reminding dancers of their initial passion, with the philosophy, 'When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.' Registration is now open for Season 5 (2025-2026), which includes exciting opportunities like our three-day Summer Intensives, designed to celebrate the start of a new dance year. These intensives are a mandatory component for all Season 6 APDC members and are open to all dancers, with specific dates for the 2026 intensives to be announced.
