Our structured approach includes classes for ages 5-7, 7-9, 9-11, 12-13, and 13+, with progression from Level 1 to Level 5. Students can explore the foundational beauty of Ballet and Pointe, delve into the expressive worlds of Contemporary and Modern dance, and ignite their energy with the rhythms of Hip Hop and Jazz. For those drawn to partner work and diverse cultural expressions, the academy provides instruction in Ballroom and Tap. The academy emphasizes classical ballet, utilizing diverse techniques from French, Italian, Russian, and Danish methods to build a strong technical foundation, which expands to jazz and contemporary styles as students advance. Under the passionate direction of owner English Patterson, a seasoned dancer with a background in classical ballet and professional contemporary work, and extensive experience in social dances including Ballroom and Latin styles, the academy thrives. Allie Skurski, a University of Missouri - Kansas City graduate with a BFA in dance (emphasis in ballet and modern), shares her expertise, having performed with the renowned Joel Hall Dancers. Katie Rowly, specializing in ballet and pointe, also brings her skills in modern, contemporary, and character dance.
