Classes

Dance Team Technique Classes

Taught by the high school athletic trainer specifically for Dance Teams.

Social Dances

Feel confident on the dance floor. Learn the East Coast Swing, the Foxtrot, the Electric Slide, or any other style of dance you choose.

Private Lessons

Students who attend private lessons boost their skills as dancers and progress faster towards their goals.

Wedding Dances

Whether it is the bride and groom’s first dance, bride and father of the bride, or the parents, we can make this happen for you. You can choose between dance lessons or a choreographed dance.

Hip Hop/Street Styles

For students 8 and older, this class is high energy and will teach the fundamentals of Hip Hop and touch on varying street styles. Self expression encouraged! Students may wear whatever they are comfortable to dance in – shorts, sweats, leggings, tanks, etc.

Acro Dance

For ages 5-12. Students will learn basic acro technique, continue to expand acro skills and progressions, and learn proper stretching and strengthening methods. Taught by an Acrobatic Arts certified instructor.

Exceptional Movers

Classes are for children age 7-18 with special needs, and focus on yoga, gross motor movement, and a dance to be performed at our Winter and Spring concerts.

Tap Dance

Our tap classes are based on Broadway-style tap for both children (age 5+) and adults (18+). Comfortable clothes are acceptable with tap shoes.

Jazz/Musical Theater

This class revolves around Broadway-style dancing and is for students aged 7 and above. Classes include warm-ups, locomotive exercises, and centre floor.

Modern

Based on the technique of fall and recovery, the class accepts students aged 8 and above. As a rebellion against ballet, students may wear any color of leotard and tights with bare feet.

Progressing Ballet Technique

Catering to the developing dancer, this program continues to strengthen the posture, weight-placement & alignment. Students will strengthen their core including their upper back promoting complete body fitness, deep core activation and the students’ awareness of muscle memory to transfer into their dance classes.

For children ages 5+, classes start with basic ballet skills and progress to advanced classes in Pointe for older students. Class is an hour long for a 13 weeks session. Some classes meet twice a week.
