The Academy of Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre

Winter Fest 2025 is going to be an amazing opportunity for your dancers to be a part of! Winter fest is a new holiday program that celebrates the global holidays of December; Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice Las Posadas, Saint Lucia Day, and Christmas.

Jazz class combines energetic rhythms, syncopation, and athletic movements with dynamic musicality.

Modern class explores expressive movement, improvisation, and diverse choreographic styles.

Ballet class is a fundamental dance discipline focusing on technique, posture, and grace.

AGHDT’s Performing Ensemble is a new program designed to offer performance opportunities to dancers in an accessible and exciting way! We are thrilled to offer this program this year! During the weekly class dancers will work on choreography to create a program including solos, duets, trios and ensemble work to perform throughout the year.

She has also led modern and improvisation classes at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Lexington, Kentucky.

During the summers between semesters, she taught ballet, tap, jazz, and conditioning at her home studio in Northern Kentucky.

While performing and competing across the US, David has had the pleasure of working with Slawek Sochacki & Marlena Stachura, David Hamilton, Heather Smith, as well as coaching with Maja Servé and Nadia Eftedal, and has accumulated an impressive list of awards and accreditations both as a performer and as an instructor which includes:

She and her partner now compete nationally in the American Smooth and American Rhythm styles.

Throughout high school, she continued teaching and substituting ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, and tap classes, further developing her skills.

Josie currently teaches dance at AGHDT and Dancers Studio INC in Columbus, Indiana in a variety of styles and loves to share her passion for dance with her students.

Olivia is passionate about fitness and is a coach at [solidcore] in Carmel. She also loves teaching modern and jazz at The Academy of GHDT!

Sophie is beyond excited to start teaching Tap and Ballet at The Academy of Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre this year.

She recently earned a bachelor’s degree in Dance from Western Kentucky University, where she served as a teaching assistant for Modern, Tap, and Dance Anatomy classes, and led multiple classes in each genre.

Mr. Hancock has taught modern dance in Mumbai, India, at Expressions Modern Dance Company, the premiere modern dance company of Mumbai. Mr. Hancock’s unique choreography has been lauded internationally.
