Private dance lessons are offered with in-house and guest coaches, providing an opportunity to experience the benefits of personalized coaching.

Guest coaches teach group classes in the evenings, allowing everyone to be able to work with them. They are gifted instructors of beginning students and understand that you are amateurs who have found great joy in ballroom dancing.

Our studio is fortunate to be able to invite about two visiting coaches each month, giving you the option of learning from the very best national and international professional ballroom dancers. They coach private lessons, choreograph new routines if requested, and teach group classes in the evenings, allowing everyone to be able to work with them. We have hosted Karina Smirnoff and Jonathan Roberts from “Dancing with the Stars.” Both of these highly accomplished celebrities are well-known as competitive, professional dancers; but as illustrated by their success with amateur dancers on DWTS, they are also gifted instructors of beginning students. Like all of our guest coaches, they understand that you are amateurs who have found great joy in ballroom dancing, and they recognize that performing in front of large audiences is not something that belongs in your everyday routine.

Our My Dance Hub professional instructors can also serve as in-house private coaches for you and your professional or amateur partner. Like visiting guest coaches, they work as a team with you and your professional instructor to critique your skills with a new pair of eyes. This option is especially useful as a last minute touch up before a competition.

Your regular instructor is not always able to catch every moment of your performance in lessons; the guest coach can analyze your dancing from an outside perspective, bring a fresh outlook to your routines, and provide a different way of explaining familiar concepts. Going forward, your instructor can help you apply the coaching suggestions in your lessons.

My Dance Hub also offers semi-private lessons. Good examples are flash mobs, Quinceañeras, bridesmaids/groomsmen dances or just a group of friends that want to take lessons together closed to the public. Please call to inquire about our rates and to book your semiprivate lesson.

My Dance Hub offers students that take private lessons the opportunity to attend unlimited complimentary group classes. This is a great way to speed up the learning and become a well-rounded dancer quicker. One does not need a partner for group classes – we rotate partners. It is the best way to practice dancing with different partners whether as a leader or as a follower. Our group classes range from ballroom cardio (stamina building class) to more specific advanced technique classes. Check our online calendar for best class times and days.

The fastest way to learn is to enroll in private dance lessons. Whether you take lessons alone or with a partner, you will have your instructor’s undivided attention. Private lessons allow for the most flexibility when scheduling your lessons. Since all our instructors are full time, your private lessons can be scheduled between Monday through Sunday based on the instructor’s availability. Lessons do not have to be the same day every week. Even more, the best progress comes when lessons are kept close together. Sometimes it is useful to double up on the lessons to save on travel time. This is especially great for our clients to travel from far. It is not unusual for our instructors to squeeze in the last minute wedding couple and knock off 4-5 lessons in just one week and get them ready for their special event.

Are you interested in performing, but not quite ready to step out on the dance floor with just you and a partner? Consider signing up for one of our award-winning formation teams and perform and compete with a dedicated group of formation dancers.

This group class is held every Saturday morning at our Oakbrook location. We alternate every week with the basics of every ballroom dance that we offer. Throughout the lesson, you will learn basic techniques with the chosen dance and a few patterns to help you feel comfortable next time a song comes on! This class is full of beginner couples to help you feel more confident with each class and have a blast while learning!

This group class is held at our Naperville location. We alternate between Salsa and Bachata weekly. We begin each class with a review of the previous patterns, and continue with a new sequence of steps. This class is moderately paced to keep the fun going. If you have not danced before, please take advantage of our Introductory Package. 40 Minutes. No partner required.

This group class is held at our Naperville location. This class is geared toward beginner and bronze level dancers. We teach bronze level patterns with a focus on foot placement, posture and frame.
