About Summit City Pole

Summit City Pole, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, offers a unique and empowering dance experience for enthusiasts of all levels. Specializing in high-quality pole instruction, the studio fosters a safe, inclusive, and progressive environment, encouraging exploration and artistic expression. Beyond core pole dance, Summit City Pole embraces a broader approach to movement, incorporating elements of contemporary dance theory and floorwork techniques. Their "Liquid Motion" classes emphasize natural, organic movement to build a strong foundation for intricate floor flows. Complementing these sessions are "Stretch & Flex" and "Mindful Movement Conditioning" classes, essential cross-training for strength, flexibility, and body awareness, specifically designed to enhance the physical preparedness and mindfulness of pole and aerialists. The studio celebrates the dynamic blend of power, flexibility, beauty, and sensuality inherent in pole dancing. Summit City Pole also provides options for private and semi-private lessons upon request, catering to individual attention and personalized progress. They are an excellent choice for celebrating special occasions, offering private group sessions for bachelorette parties, birthday get-togethers, or Girls Night Out, accommodating parties of six or more guests based on instructor availability. The studio's dedicated instructors, including Danielle Carroll with 18 years of pole dance experience and Leia Becktell (passion discovered in 2015), along with Sahara and Julia Martinez (who began pole in 2015 and is Liquid Motion certified), bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to guide students on their pole journey.

Classes

Mindful Movement Conditioning

In Mindful Movement Conditioning, we blend technical cross-training with body awareness and deliberate motion, catered specifically to the needs of aerialists and pole dancers. This unique approach allows you to connect mind and body while building strength, flexibility, and coordination. Our program is designed to be inclusive, adaptable, and progressive for all levels. Some familiarity with pole will enhance your experience, but if you’re new, don’t worry—we’ll guide you step by step!

Liquid Motion

Liquid Motion classes will use dance theory, natural organic movement and the Liquid Motion techniques and fundamentals to build a proper foundation for floorwork. Expect a warm-up, full-body conditioning, and mobility exercises. The bulk of the class will take you through intricate floor flows and across the floor drills. The class will end in a freestyle for students to explore their newfound skills, followed by a cool-down.

Pole Choreo

Join us for our beginner friendly pole choreography class, where we will learn a new, short dance routine each week! The end of class will consist of open pole time for students to work independently on their skills!

Stretch & Flex

Stretch & Flex will be an off pole, cross-fitness training session. Build strength with light weights and resistance bands to help you progress through your pole curriculum. Finish the class with a deep stretch session to help mobilize your body!

Multi-level Tricks

Our multi-level class will be a trick-based class where students will round out their beginner curriculum and start diving into intermediate pole work! Students are encouraged to continue in their Pole 1 class or supplement their training with choreography classes!
