Not only do we teach these popular styles but also some less common dances such as: Samba, Viennese Waltz, Mambo, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango.

At Five Star Dance Studios, we teach numerous styles and types of social and partner dancing. Some of our more popular dances include: Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, (East Coast) Swing, Hustle, Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa, Bachata, and Two Step.

Our Gold Programs are for the stars!! Gold is strictly a standard for the hobby dancer interested in performances, exhibitions, or competitions. Its intricate patterns are only to be used when seasoned dance partners really know what they are doing. Choreography, styling, technique and showmanship are necessities in this standard. This material is generally not used on the crowded floor. You should be prepared to work hard if this is your desired standard. However, you will truly be rewarded as an outstanding dancer excelling in every dance you choose.

Silver is a dance standard with a high degree of styling. Flashy movements ensure the Silver dancer will stand out on any dance floor. Continuity of movement makes a couple glide around the dance floor, with smooth changes of direction. Styling begins developing each individual dances unique characteristics. Technique, balance, and control take on an entirely new meaning as the Silver dancer moves across the floor. Our Silver Program is just the beginning of the professional dancing standard used on the ballroom floor.

Our Foundation Program is designed as an introduction to the popular social dances and newcomer technique at Five Star Dance Studios. This program is designed to fulfill your immediate dance needs, while allowing your instructor an opportunity to evaluate your dancing in regards to your future learning needs. During our foundation program, emphasis is placed on the most important elements of dancing such as rhythm and timing, leading or following and basic movements while still learning enough variety to keep dance interesting!

Full Bronze is the complete social dance program taught by Five Star Dance Studios. It is designed to develop timing and technique for each dance style taught here at Five Star. The styling will make you look elegant and feel comfortable while on the floor. It will also strengthen your leading and following to the point that no matter who your partner may be, what kind of music, or the size the of dance floor there is, you will look poised and comfortable.

Over the course of our Associate Bronze Program, you will acquire more freedom of movement around the floor while also expanding the variety of patterns, technique and footwork from the Foundation Program. Associate Bronze dancers also begin to develop the stylized characteristics of each dance. This dance program is very popular with people that want to get on the dance floor right away!
