About ELITE SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS

ELITE SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS, located in Monroe, Indiana, is a premier studio dedicated to nurturing talent across dance, music, and art for students of all ages. Our mission is to "Dance. Sing. Create." and train confident students who can make an impact for Christ through the arts, fostering spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. The 2025-2026 schedule features a diverse range of foundational and expressive styles. Preschool and Kindergarten students can explore Hip Hop/Tumbling Combo and Ballet/Jazz Combo classes. Elementary grades (1-4) will find Ballet, Clogging, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Acro/Cheer. For students in grades 5-12, advanced instruction is available in Lyrical, Clogging, Hip Hop, and Jazz. New this year are Clogging classes for all elementary, middle, and high school students. We also offer "Tumble and Twirl" and "Tumbling/Cheer" classes for younger children, and a "Hotel Noel" Studio Musical Class for students 1st grade and up. Our dedicated staff includes Dawn Johnson (Advanced Classes), Sophie Johnson (Hip Hop, AcroDance), Elly Mendez (Clogging), Emma Ehlerding (Classical Ballet, Pointe Ballet, Lyrical, with experience from Swiss City Dance), and MaKenzie Slusher (Acro, Hip Hop, Jazz, Clogging, with competitive experience from Razz M Jazz). We emphasize building positive relationships and self-image. An Open House is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, welcoming families to learn more about our creative arts ministry.

Preschool/Kindergarten Jazz and Ballet Combo Class

This preschool/Kindergarten class is an introduction to Jazz and Ballet movement.

Elementary Ballet

The perfect class for Beginning Ballet students in grades 1 - 4.

Mondays 4:30 - 5:00
Elementary Jazz

The perfect class for students who love a faster style of dance. Students will learn various beginning Jazz techniques.

Lyrical

We love Lyrical at Elite. In this class, students will learn graceful movements with Ballet and Jazz infused.

MSHS Jazz

Students in this class will learn advanced Jazz techniques.

Preschool/Kindergarten Tumble and Twirl Class

This preschool/Kindergarten class combines elements of tumbling and gymnastics to a musical routine.

Elementary Tumbling/Cheer

This class combines elements of gymnastics and cheer for elementary aged students with our very own AC cheerleader, Mis Mak.

Preschool/Kindergarten Combo Class: Tumbling and Hip Hop

This class combines the basics of tumbling and Hip Hop. Students will flip, roll, jump, and learn the basics of Hip Hop movement.

Elementary Hip Hop

Learn the basics of pop, drop, and locks as you dive into the beginning world of fun, fast paced Hip Hop dancing.

Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:00
MSHS Hip Hop

This class is for upper level students and will be a fast paced dance with pops, locks, and drops.

Mom and Me Dance Class

This class is for tots, ages 1 and 2, and a caregiver. Students in this class and their caregiver will learn a number for our May recital.

Preschool and Kindergarten Music Class

This class is for preschoolers and Kindergarteners and will meet for 10 weeks to prepare students to open for our Christmas production, "Hotel Noel," held towards the end of December at Adams Central. Students will learn Fall and Christmas songs and play with instruments. Students should be able to sing in front of a crowd with their class by themselves.

"Hotel Noel" Studio Musical Class

This class is for students in 1st grade and above, wishing to take a musical/theatre class. Students will learn the musical, "Hotel Noel," and perform it at Adams Central towards the end of December. This was a very popular class last year.
