For beginner adults… For those who want to brush off their dancing shoes from years ago… For high school students who are wishing they started dance years ago — any level is welcome. The instructor has a gift for meeting the needs of a potentially wide variety of levels so that everyone learns, everyone has a good time, and everyone gets some exhilarating exercise!

A contemporary style of jazz developed by youth on the streets of America. It is a style of dance commonly seen in today’s music videos.

Includes ankle and foot warm-ups, steps, and combinations creating various rhythms and floor patterns to both classical and contemporary tap music.

Consists of center-floor stretches, across-the-floor progressions, and lyrical as well as contemporary movements. A combination of jazz and modern styles and techniques are used in class and performances.

A term used to describe free-form contemporary dance. Modern dance centers on a dancer’s or choreographer’s own interpretations instead of structured steps, as in traditional ballet dancing.

Includes barre work, stretches, steps, leaps, turns, and combinations (allegro and adagio) in Cecchitti and Russian techniques. French dance terminology is taught and used, and pointe work may be included depending on the individual student technical and physical readiness.

Introduce preschool and kindergarten children to the fundamental techniques in ballet, tap, tumbling, and creative movement, while nurturing a child’s self-esteem, creative expression, and musicality.
